DJ Nabs and Lil Jon, two notable legends in hip-hop history, were honored last night in Atlanta (May 21, 2014).

The ‘Respect the DJ’ event was held yesterday evening at Opera Nightclub in Atlanta and a huge mix of The A’s top DJs showed up and showed out.

In addition to honorees Lil Jon & DJ Nabs, attendees included DJ Jelly, DJ Swiff, DJ Sense, DJ Montay, Shawty Putt, Fort Knox, Ronnie Devoe (BBD), Kawan ‘KP’ Prather (A&R @ Atlantic Records) and more.

Phaedra Parks of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is guest hosting all this week on Dish Nation and she and Rickey Smiley morning show crew have all been diving in on the latest gossip.

Just yesterday, Parks and the radio crew spoke about that bizarre Kenya Moore thievery that occurred on ‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ set, involving actress Vivica A. Fox‘s cell phone.

Daddy Dearest: 50 Cent a ‘No Show’ To Son’s High School Graduation in Atlanta… [PHOTOS]

Marquise Jackson, the son of rapper/entrepreneur Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, was the spitting image of his famous father as he proudly showed off his high school diploma.

It was a very important day for Marquise, for as you know… there’s only ONE high school graduation.

I received the following tip via StraightFromTheA’s facebook page:

Can you address 50 not attending his sons graduation it’s already a struggle for young black men to finish school and become someone the least the parents (50) can do is show an ounce of support.

The link sent in the message directed me to a photo of Marquise crying into is sister’s arms and sadly, it appears that 50 Cent was a no-show to his son’s graduation ceremony.

Michael Jackson died almost 5 years ago but there was a seat saved for him at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards last night (May 18, 2014).

The seat may have been symbolic and it was a great gesture especially considering the anticipation that was building for his upcoming performance.

Fortunately, Jackson showed up and showed out on the stage of the 2014 Billboard Music Awards and the King of Pop totally awed the crowed, as he was resurrected from the dead in hologram form in front of a star-studded Las Vegas audience.

Jackson performed his new single ?Slave to the Rhythm,? from his posthumous album ?Xscape? ? which debuted last week at No. 1 in 50 countries.

The show-stopping performance was produced by the Estate of Michael Jackson and broadcast on ABC and the legendary singer appeared on stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena to wild cheers and more than a few tears.
