It was a very important day for Marquise, for as you know… there’s only ONE high school graduation.
I received the following tip via StraightFromTheA’s facebook page:
Can you address 50 not attending his sons graduation it’s already a struggle for young black men to finish school and become someone the least the parents (50) can do is show an ounce of support.
The link sent in the message directed me to a photo of Marquise crying into is sister’s arms and sadly, it appears that 50 Cent was a no-show to his son’s graduation ceremony.
Photos + details below…
But wait… according to BallerAlert, while the message was posted online to a page that has well over 5,000 friends and 200k followers (including friends that know Marquise personally and attended his graduation),? Marquise’s sister, is denying that the facebook page that posted the photo is authentic and she left a message on her own page disputing the comment:
“The page has been there for years. We tried to get it deleted. Whoever runs that page has a lot of time on his hands because they create pages of our mother and I, and have them correspond with one another as if it’s us, but it’s not.”
And while the account may have been reported as fake, it appears through photographic evidence that 50 Cent actually WAS a no show for his son’s ceremony.
According to TMZ, Fiddy admits he was a no show and says he didn’t show up to his son’s graduation in Atlanta because he wasn’t invited.
But 50 disagrees … telling friends he was never told when or where the graduation ceremony was, or he would have been there. FYI, the ceremony was at Marquise’s private school in ATL (the same school 50 reportedly foots the bills for).
We’re told 50 spent last weekend in NYC for a charity event.
[Sidebar: An invite (or lack thereof) still shouldn’t have kept Jackson away from his son’s graduation. But I digress. ]
Congrats to Marquise on his High School Graduation. Hopefully the father/son relationship can be prepared soon.
How do you feel about 50Cent’s noticeable absence on his son’s big day?
