You see tons of celebrity photos on all the blogs everyday, but do you ever wonder who’s behind the camera? You may recognize photo service names like WireImage or Getty, but there’s one name in particular that is making waves all across the country on the hip-hop scene…. Johnny Nunez!

I’ve run into him quite a few times, but never really had a real conversation until recently. It’s funny how life has a way of connecting you with people. He’s a totally cool dude and is the man behind many of your favorite hip-hop celebrity photographs, sometimes capturing them in classic unconventional poses.

Snippet number two of Rihanna‘s 20/20 interview with Dianne Sawyer aired on Good Morning America this morning. In this clip, Rihanna discusses the actual beating incident in the car and gives details about how the fight actually started.? As detailed in the police report, Rihanna admits to reading the text messages on Chris Brown’s phone from another girl. An argument ensued and… well… you know the rest.

“It escalated to him being violent towards me and… it was ugly.” She later described the look in Brown’s eyes as he beat her, “All I kept thinking the whole time was ‘when is it going to stop? when is it going to stop?’ He had no soul in his eyes. Just blank. He was clearly blacked out. There was no person when I looked at him.”

A group of music industry Presidents and CEO’s convened on Hotel Palomar in midtown Atlanta last weekend to celebrate a reunion of sorts.? L.A. Reid, Steve Bartels, Bu Thiam, Devyne Stephens, Young Jeezy, Usher Raymond, Dallas Austin and more music industry decision makers all joined each other for an evening of fine dining at the hotel’s Pacci Ristorante for the annual “Dinner With The President”.

Quick Flix ~ Goodie Mob & More at Lenny Kravitz Afterparty

Rocker Lenny Kravitz‘s “Let Love Rule” tour hit Atlanta Wednesday evening for a showstopping performance at the Tabernacle. I heard that dayum near all of Atlanta joined him onstage as Lenny allowed Dallas Austin, Jermaine Dupri, Nelly and even the Goodie Mob to hit the mic and rock with him during the show. I bet it was amazing!

The afterparty was held at a new spot called The Gold Room Though the Gold Room, located in the former Gold Club building on Piedmont Road.

It’s not open to the public yet, but the club has been hosting quite a few private parties for Atlanta insiders.? From the looks of the photos, Lenny Kravitz’ afterparty was just as hype as his concert at the Tabernacle. The rocker was again joined by Nelly, Dallas Austin, Jermaine Dupri and my boos the Goodie Mob.

It’s Official! ~ Usher & Tameka Raymond’s Divorce Finalized (For Real This Time)

I know that there have been quite a few false alarms, but my sources have verified that as of November 4, 2009, Usher Raymond IV has officially gotten that monkey off his back!

The divorce filed against Tameka Jonelle Foster Glover Raymond Jackson Brown is now complete and each are free to go their separate ways.? According to Fulton County Superior Court where the divorce was filed, the final judgment and decree has been entered.

Stick a fork in it. It’s DONE! Don’t believe me?

Two of my favorite people were on television the other night and I totally missed them! Monica AND Celebrity Photographer Derek Blanks hit the stage on the Mo”Nique show earlier this week and it was like a family affair. Mo Nique invited Monica’s mom onstage for a mini interview and Monica’s boo Rocko even came out.? During Derek’s interview he seemed a bit uncomfortable. He’s so accustomed to being behind the camera that I’m sure it was a bit unnerving, but Mo quickly helped ease his nerves. That’s why I love them both so much!? Support is key!

The show concluded with Monica performing “Still Standing.” It was such a great show! I just wish I had been in the audience that day. And speaking of “Still Standing,”? if you missed Episode 2 of Monica’s BET reality show, you can watch it below: Continue Reading…
