Actress/singer Jennifer Hudson joined Alliance for a Healthier Generation to promote Weight Watchers Walk-It Challenge at the Namaste Charter School on May 10, 2011 in Chicago, Illinois.
Promoting the third annual Walk-It Challenge for Weight Watchers, Hudson practiced yoga moves with students of the Charter School and further encouraged them to maintain a healthy lifestyle and continue working out.
Hudson expressed her delight at being a part of the campaign and speaking to kids at the school, stating:
I’m just glad to be here and be a part of it. It kind of goes hand in hand with the way they encourage good health and teach kids that way.
I wanted to make sure that I gave that example to go off of.
As Weight Watchers’ ambassador, J-Hud lost over 86lbs. She spoke about the necessity of keeping active with her son so that he learns the value of being active and exercising at a young age.
Jennifer also spoke of her affinity for fellow Chicagoan Oprah Winfrey. She expresses her disappointment about Miss. O’s “retirement” but reveals she may be next up to fill Winfrey’s Loubous.
