Ciara arrived back in her hometown of the “A” last weekend to perform at the Sprite Step Off II competition at Atlanta?s Fox Theatre on Saturday (April 2).
Regional college fraternities and sororities competed in a tournament-style competition, which ended with a crowd pleasing performance from the “Gimme Dat” singer.
Last year, the event was filled with controversy when Sprite admitted a “scoring discrepancy” after Zeta Tau Alpha, an all white sorority, won the traditionally Black step competition.

I haven’t heard too much about the competition but it seems the controversy was left behind this year as CiCi treated the crowd to a hot finale:

Is matching mugshots the “in” thing nowadays for couples? Does LOVE equate trouble with the law?
We have T.I. and Tiny, Gary Coleman (R.I.P.) and that crazy redheaded chick and now we have Making the Band alum/synthetic wig Model Sara Stokes and her hubby Tony Stokes.
Although all were arrested for varying offenses, Tony was arrested last week after he allegedly choked and beat Sara (again).
If you recall, Tony beat the brakes of Sara back in 2009 and she was arrested for allegedly stabbing him during the fight. Now Tony’s mug can join his wife’s in the mugshot hall of shame since he was arrested after yet another dispute between the two last weekend.

Waka Flocka Flame took a moment out of his hectic schedule last week to make a special fan’s dream come true.
As you know, The Make a Wish Foundation grants wishes to terminally ill children and 16 year old Kiyana was recently granted her wish to meet the popular rapper during her trip to Atlanta.
On the day of her arrival, Waka Flocka Flame surprised the teen when he knocked on the door of her Ritz Carlton hotel suite pretending to be room service.
The sixteen year old squealed with excitement when she opened the door to see her favorite rapper standing in the doorway.

I’ve been a fan of Musiq Soulchild for so dayum long that I can even tell you what I was doing when I first heard his hit “Just Friends” from his first album Aijuswanaseing…. but that’s personal so I won’t go there.
I had the pleasure of dining with Musiq (real name Taalib Johnson) yesterday at Maggiano’s in Buckhead as we broke bread together in the private dining area (along with 29 other invited guests).
Musiq discussed the details of his sixth album MusiqintheMagiq and played the video for the album’s single “Anything” feat Swizz Beatz (click HERE if you haven’t seen it.).
Musiq explained the song’s meaning:
“‘Anything’ is really about jealousy and insecurity. In relationships, it’s not wise to automatically assume that whenever you feel suspicious about someone, that something negative is going on.
If a man is saying and showing that he loves you, then give him some credit and have a little faith.”
Ok… great advice!
Musiq and I sat down for a lil one on one time, where he shared details regarding his decision to make Atlanta his home. He also gave more words of wisdom to new artists who travel here in hopes of shining in the “A” aka “Black Hollywood”.
