It’s hard out here for a single mother on a top rated reality show…
Phaedra Parks shared a tearful moment with her oldest son, as ‘Prince Ayden’ embarked on his first day of kindergarten.
[Sidebar: Dang… it’s been 5 whole years already?? Time files!! Pretty soon Ayden will be a freshmen in high school and we’ll be watching a similar moment as his dad drives him to school. But I digress.]
Phaedra also a moment with one of Apollo’s closest friends… ‘Bond’ (his real name is Dave but I believe he’s called that because he does bail bonds). ‘Bond’ brought the boys a few gifts and offered support to the single mom, who shared how hard it is raising to boys without their father.
While Phaedra admits to ‘Bond’ that Apollo wasn’t a ‘good husband,’ she also notes that she’s been blessed with two gifts from their less than perfect union.
Kandi collaborates on a song with Demetria McKinney and she has her trusty sidekick/Do-boy, Don Juan by her side to make sure things run smoothly. As Kandi’s business manager, it’s imperative that Don Juan keeps her business intact and during this episode, he certainly makes that clear.
When Kandi meets with McKinney & Roger Bob to discuss the video, she’s reminded by Don Juan that she needs to slow down because of her high risk pregnancy. Kandi decides to proceed, comparing herself to the likes of J-Lo and Halle Berry, who each bared children well in their 40’s.
Blah Blah Blah… are we stll awake?? OK moving on…
Cynthia & Peter ‘rekindle’ the dying spark in their marriage by spending a bit of quality time together.
Peter gets the ball rolling by sending his lady love a slew of yellow roses in honor of their commitment to strengthen the friendship part of their relationship and he also drives 5 hours from Charlotte to take his wife out on a real romantic date.
The cute couple share a walk through Atlanta’s Piedmont Park and Peter surprises Cynthia with a romantic dinner, as well as an artist to capture the moment as it happens.
Marriage takes work… and it’s clear the two lovebirds are working on it.
Porsha decides to move forward with her long-distance love, Oliver, who she met in Miami. The couple plans an online date and Porsha meets her new boo at the kitchen table for a facetime session.
Oliver has pretty much seen all of Porsha already being that she twerked for him and all his friends in a thong, but that’s besides the point. Anyway… Porsha tries to get to know her new love interest a little bit better and Oliver reveals he’s had a few Black chicks in his time, but he’s never been in a real relationship with one.
Needless to say, Oliver’s not giving Porsha any indication that he’s trying to do much more than roll around with her a few times. But since she’s hopeful, I guess we can be hopeful too.
Speaking of dating…
Kenya Moore found another rent-a-date.? He’s about 20 years younger, so he might just hang around if the money is good enough. (Don’t hold your breath tho…)
Kandi and Demetria have a party to celebrate their new video (click HERE for photos from the event) and drama ensues when Kandi’s right hand man over hears her fellow ‘housewives’ speaking about her.
Now correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s not unusual for the ladies to ‘rehash’ things amongst each other and this situation was no different.
As Porsha, Phaedra and Shamea leave Kandi’s event, they begin to speak about the wedge that’s formed between the former friends.
DonJuan, Kandi?s business manager, makes it his ‘business’ to speak up about his boss and he goes a little overboard when he hears Phaedra speaking with Porsha about the workout video that Todd produced.
If you recall, Todd feels he’s owed more for his services, while Phaedra claims she paid already paid him $30,000 for a video that was never released.
There is WAY more going on between Kandi and Phaedra than just Todd’s chump change. In fact, that whole thing about Apollo’s belongings in Kandi’s garage has been a thorn in Parks’ side for well over a year. Whatever the case, it’s clear that Kandi and Phaedra need to work out whatever issues they have without the ‘help’ of Don Juan.
‘Don Juan’s pink panties were in a bunch tonight… ‘ ~ Porsha
It’s starting to feel like people just want camera time and will do anything to get it. That Don Juan blow-up was totally uncalled for but I guess he was only trying to ‘help’ this boring episode out.
[Sidebar: I was hoping praying Nene would be back this week… *sigh*? (checking watch)]
