Another day, another hip-hop arrest.? *sigh*
This time it’s Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs who is in the news after being arrested for battling a UCLA football coach, where his son, Justin Combs, plays as a defensive back on the team.
A press release from the campus police states:
Shortly after 12:30 p.m. Monday (June 22, 2015) , Sean Combs (also known as P. Diddy) was arrested at UCLA?s Acosta Athletic Training Complex on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which was a kettlebell,”
“No one was seriously injured and UCPD is investigating.
Diddy was subsequently transferred to the LA County Sheriff’s Department where he was subsequently released on bail.? He has since responded to all the hoopla online via Instagram.

UCLA’s Media Relations Office confirmed that Combs, also known as P. Diddy, was arrested on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon (which was a kettlebell).
According to TMZ, during a strength and conditioning session, the coach was screaming at Justin, as Combs watched from the sidelines. Combs allegedly confronted the coach in his office and was then arrested for assault.
Diddy was arrested by campus security and transferred to?the?Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Inmate Reception Center around 7:37?p.m., where his bail was set at $50,000 (pocket change for the music mogul).
No one was seriously injured in the dispute, however Nathalie Moar, a spokeswoman for Combs Enterprises, said “I’m not commenting until all of the facts are sorted out.”
UCLA football coach Jim Mora later issued a statement saying about the altercation, stating:
“I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation. This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”
Diddy has since been released on bail and he’s posed the photo below online with the caption: “#Mood…. ”
