The cast of TVOne’s “Ricky Smiley For Real” played host to a pre-screener for the 5th season of the popular docu-series in Atlanta last night.
The event, which was held at Regal AME Theatre in Atlantic Station included a screening and q&a with cast members Rickey Smiley, Headkrack, Da Brat, Gary with da Tea and Juicy hosted by Willie Moore, Jr.

Antwan ‘Big Boi’ Patton of the legendary duo Outkast was honored for his good deeds this past Tuesday during Pepsico’s Champion the Dream event.
The event was held at Atlanta’s Park Tavern venue and Mayorial Candidate Kwanza Hall, presented Big with an award?for making a difference with his Big Kidz Foundation, which celebrates it’s 10th year of giving this year.
Multi-media personality Rashan Ali played host to the event and there was also an inspirational panel discussion moderated by Atlanta radio personality?Big Tigger, which featured several community leaders discussing how they all ‘Champion the Dream’.

Monyetta Shaw (Atlanta Exes) and Keshia Knight-Pulliam strike a pose as they arrive to Ford Motor Company’s unofficial Summer kick-off soiree.
The ‘who’s who’ of Atlanta converged on a private airport hanger this past Saturday (June 21, 2014) to take part in the exclusive invitation-only event, appropriately titled Take Flight With Ford, drew several of Atlanta’s reality show stars + a few corporate executives.
Guests in attendance were treated to test drives in a fleet of fully-equipped 2014 Ford Fusion sedans, complimentary cocktails courtesy of Jack Daniels, and an interactive experience that included a live art installation, a giant puzzle, billiards and cigar rolling.
Celebrity attendees included Keshia Knight Pulliam (host), Cynthia Bailey (RHOA), Monyetta Shaw (Atlanta Exes), Tracey Steel (formerly of LHHATL), Meelah Williams (R&B Divas), Sharlinda Parker & Sabrina Rowe (Big Rich Atlanta), music industry vet Shanti Das, CNN Correspondent Rashan Ali, Keinon Johnson (Interscope),?Atlanta City Council member Kwanzaa Hall and more.

There has been a bit of a shake up in Atlanta radio this week.
It all started over at V-103, when Ryan Cameron’s morning show released two of Cameron’s co-hosts, Kendra G & Crash (click HERE if you missed that). ?Later I heard that Egypt Sherrod either jumped ship or left before she had to walk the plank after failing ratings in her afternoon spot.
Here’s where things get messy… rumors began swirling about who would fill the empty spots and names like comedian Wanda Smith and cross-dressing funnyman Miss Sophia were thrown in the mix.

Both Smith and Sophia played an integral part on Cameron’s predecessor, Frank Ski’s morning show, and neither has had much of an impact on air since Frank Ski left Atlanta airwaves this time last year.

But now at least one of them is about to make a return to Atlanta airwaves Monday morning as Miss Sophia now joins Rashan Ali on 94.5!

You may remember Lisa Wu as the energetic fireball from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but she recently shift gears and hit the stage as part of the cast in the local run of “Stripped,” the stage play last weekend (June 2, 2013).
“Stripped” peels away the layers of the life of professional football player, Jayden Dorsey, revealing the true charge and sacrifice of being a high profile athlete.
The lives of four other ball players are scrutinized also, offering a true ?fly on the wall? perspective of the price paid by these men and their mates.
What must you give up in order to have the fame and fortune that comes along with the limelight? And who stands beside you when the fame is fleeting and the fortune has dried up?
The play was held at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center in Decatur, GA, and in addition to Wu, featured a stellar cast of characters including: Retired Green Bay Packers RB/Superbowl Champion Dorsey Levens, Media Personality Rashan Ali, former NFL player Karon Joseph Riley, and radio personality Ryan Stewart.
