Jennifer Hudson was a vision in red as she accepted her 2011 “Women Doing Good” award from Self Magazine in New York City, September 13, 2011.
Self Magazine’s Women Doing Good Awards acknowledges women who “saw a need, hatched a plan, then changed the world for the better” and I’m assuming Jennifer’s 88lb weight loss fit the bill.

Ciara was spotted chilling at the 2011 U.S. Open in NYC yesterday (September 8, 2011).
Its often been said that single women who desire to get hitched should ditch their single friends and hang out with more married women. [Sidebar: I think even recall Tyrese giving LaLa that bit of advice on her show.]
Well…? Ciara seems to have taken heed to that old wive’s tale as she was spotted taking in a game with two friends who have each jumped the broom.
Ciara was spotted out and about with Lala Vasquez (who married Carmelo Anthony last Summer) and Kim Kardashian, who recently shed her jump off status by tying the knot in a lavish ceremony a few weeks ago.

It’s been a Summer full of weddings, Ciara even donned her blue bridesmaid gear and shimmied down the aisle for Monica & Shannon Brown’s 2nd wedding.

I’m sure LaLa and Kim K have been giving their lil sis tons of advice, and since married people often ditch their single friends, I have to admire them for keeping ‘Single CiCi’ in the circle.

LOVE has a magical all-purpose element to make a relationship recipe that is much more robust, exciting, romantic, etc and so on…. but who just wants gravy, or the special love sauce?
Relationships, for LOVE’s sake, lead to Marriage.? Which is simply a social economic relationship between two people that provides tax and legal advantages for their union. [In layman’s speak: you get a tax write off and someone that can’t be forced to snitch on you in court]

A Michigan woman says she was “shocked, humiliated and embarrassed” by a Facebook romance gone awry and is seeking damages from her former online love.
Cheryl Gray, a 50-year-old unemployed paralegal says Wylie Iwan, a 35-year-old Applebee’s employee, led her on.
Gray claims she spent hundreds of dollars on gifts and a trip to visit Iwan, but was humiliated when he posted vulgar comments on her Facebook wall and was “devastated” and angry when a week before her planned trip, Iwan said he’d met someone else at a bar and no longer wanted to continue their “relationship”.
Now, “I feel foolish,” Gray said. “I’m not so much mad or angry. I feel foolish. I am disillusioned.”
Gray has decided to take her hurt feelings to court, filing a lawsuit seeking to recover $8,386.88 from her former online flame. Continue Reading…
