Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna Bryant, are being remembered by fans around the world with a Celebration of Life memorial service.
The special memorial ceremony put on by the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe’s Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation, will honor the late NBA legend and his 13-year-old daughter. Kobe, Gianna, and seven others — John, Keri and Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah and Payton Chester, Christina Mauser and Ara Zobayan — were killed in a tragic helicopter crash last month.

Tyler Perry Studios welcomed guests to celebrate on the 330-acre lot, where sound stage dedications were made in honor of Oprah Winfrey, Denzel Washington, Spike Lee, Whoopi Goldberg, Sir Sidney Poitier, Halle Berry, Will Smith, Harry Belafonte, Cicely Tyson, Ruby Dee, Ossie Davis, and the late John Singleton, Diahann Carroll, and Della Reese.
Celebrities came out in droves to honor Perry’s accomplishment as nearly 800 people walked the red carpet prior to the event.
Guests included Beyonce and Jay-Z, President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton, Will Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Diddy, Ava DuVernay, Samuel L. Ms. Tina Knowles-Lawson payed homage to BLACK EXCELLENCE as ended Essence weekend in New Orleans by hosting the Black Excellence Brunch on Sunday, July 7, 2019.
The event, which was sponsored by Facebook, was held at the Treme Market Branch and over 100 guests attended the event honoring Ms. Tina and celebrating Black Excellence with a performance by June’s Diary.
