The film, ‘All Is By My Side’ hits theatres nationwide today and Andre has spent a full week promoting the new flick, where he stars as stars as legendary rocker Jimi Hendrix.
The revealing biopic was penned by Academy Award-winning writer-director John Ridley (12 Years A Slave) and it covers a year in Hendrix?s life (from 1966-67). The film presents an intimate portrait of the sensitive young musician on the verge of becoming a rock legend.

I attended the LA press conference for the film last Sunday and the both Andre and Ridley shared quite a few intimidate details about the film.
For example, Andre spoke of how difficult it was to learn to play guitar with his left hand… a task he hilariously compared to pleasuring one’s self with the wrong hand.
Atlanta-based rapper/actor/reality television star Clifford “T.I.” Harris?was recently honored by the city of Jackson, Mississippi.
Harris was in Jackson Miss. last Wednesday (September 24, 2014), where he spoke at several Jackson area schools.
His message? Avoid making the mistakes that he once made.
Mayor Tony Yarber presented the key to the city to Harris, honoring T.I.?for his contribution to Jackson, MS, stating that the rapper has a huge impact on young people in encouraging them to stay away from crime.

Media Mogul Tyler Perry is preparing for a major life change. In addition to turning 45 this year, he’s going to father a child!
Perry celebrated his benchmark birthday by by throwing himself a star-studded soiree that included Stevie Wonder playing the piano.
He shared a few details about his party via Facebook, stating:
I had never thrown myself a birthday party, so for my 45th I wanted to do something special. This is inside the tent where we had a two hour concert. Jennifer Holliday, Desiree Coleman Jackson, Tevin Campbell, Ledisi, Monica, Jazmine Sullivan, Tamia, Mary Mary, LeAnn Rimes, Yolanda Adams, Rachelle Ferrell and Stevie Wonder brought the house down.
It was a night I’ll never forget. Thanks to all of them for making this night special for me. My next party will be at 50. Gonna mark it every 5 years. A celebration in thanks to God for my life.
While there were several star studded guests helping him celebrate, Tyler took a moment to announce that he’s expecting his first child!
