About a month ago, legendary soul singer Gladys Knight filed a lawsuit seeking to remove her name from the Chicken & Waffles restaurant franchise after it was hit with a slew of bad press from reported tax issues and financial mismanagement (click HERE if you missed that).
Well now, Shanga Hankerson, Knight’s son, has filed a counter suit in the case and is apparently refusing to remove his famous mom’s name from his Atlanta restaurants.

There’s a story circulating about a few Walmart workers who are reportedly in deep doo-doo after taking a stand against what they felt was a racist cake request.
The Walmart location?in McDonough, Georgia (about 30 miles southeast of Atlanta), is now under fire after it’s employees ALLEGEDLY?refused to make a Blue Lives Matter cake last Friday for an officer’s retirement party… but after digging deeper, it wasn’t a ‘Blue Lives Matter’ request, in fact it’s been suggested that it was actually a request for a confederate flag cake that was an issue!
There are reports that cake was subsequently made by another store, but now family and friends of the retired officer has hit Facebook campaigning?for a Walmart boycott.

Monday, September 26, 2016 was certainly a big night for entertainment! ?Not only did Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump in their first debate, the Atlanta Falcons beat the New Orleans Saints!
Yup… it was a good day! 🙂
There were several watch parties around town for both events, so there was a lot going on last night.
2 Chainz played host to a Falcon’s watch party that drew quite a few notables, including NFL free agent Michael Vick (who happens to be the only QB Atlantans will claim right about now), his brother Marcus Vick, Juvenile (where he been?) and V-103 radio personality Ryan Cameron.

While you were watching the debates, Beyonc? was onstage performing during the Atlanta return of her Formation world tour last night.
Atlanta artists Young Thug, T.I., Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris, Jeezy, Gucci Mane?and more were all spotted backstage with DJ Khaled during the sold out show, and Queen B. won the hearts of even her most critical Atlanta fans when she added a segment to her show paying homage to Shawty Lo (aka Carlos Walker),?who passed away September 21 following a car accident.
Beyonc? paused for the cause during her set to honor Shawty Lo as she performed to his hit single, “Dey Know.”

Fantasia Barrino?has caught a lot of flack online?recently about her now ‘postponed’ #AllLivesMatter benefit concert in Charlotte.
The 32-year-old North Carolina native tweeted an invitation for fans to join her ?for a peaceful protest? Sunday evening, which was followed by a poster for an ?All Lives Matter? concert titled ?Hear Me Now.?
The flyer included performances from Anthony Hamilton, John P. Kee and Dennis Reed, and the event was to be held at Romare Bearden Park.
Anthony Hamilton recently backed out of the concert after sharing his feelings about the ‘All Lives Matter’ movement…
I accept people from all walks of life. If you label me a racist because I care about my friends and family, then you are part of the problem. Those who want to cripple us and get rid of our people are yet another generation of the Ku Klux Klan.
We?re not going anywhere!
And now that the concert is off, Fantasia is catching even more flack by addressing the drama.
