If you?re a fan of hip-hop veteran Bun B and fellow Texans Mike Jones and Paul Wall, you might wanna be headed over to The Loft right about now. The tree are in town performing a FREE <~ yes FREE concert tonight at The Loft (1374 W. Peachtree St.) and free tickets are currently being distributed at The Loft box office. The trio?s MySpace Music ?Beyond The Sound? show goes down tonight and also features Atlanta?s DJ Drama and DJ Knuckles.
Doors open at 8 p.m. First come, first served and the doors will be closed when the venue hits capacity.
?UGK: UGK 4 Life? is in stores now. Mike Jones? ?The Voice? is scheduled for release April 28th and Paul Wall is back on the scene with ?Fast Life? May 12th.

Jennifer Hudson performed in Atlanta last week amidst speculation that she’d either gained weight or was a few months pregnant. I admit, she did look a little stuffed in her mid-section but I didn’t even give it a second thought. Well, ladies and gents, a source close to Jennifer has recently confirmed what a lot of people where whispering.? Jennifer’s got a lil ‘punk’ in the oven!
While her manager and publicist deny the rumors, two sources close to the Oscar and Grammy winner confirm exclusively to ESSENCE.com that she is indeed expecting. This would be the first child for Hudson.
Hudson, who is currently receiving rave reviews while on tour with Robin Thicke, is engaged to David Otunga, a Harvard Law graduate and former contestant on “I Love New York 2.” The couple plans to marry sometime soon, but hasn’t confirmed a wedding date.
Tragedy struck the singer last October when her mother, brother and nephew were murdered. Hudson made a triumphant return to the spotlight on February 1 when she sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the Super Bowl. She went on to win her first Grammy Award for best R&B album on February 8. Continuing the baby boom, singer/Actress Jill Scott and her fiance Lil John Roberts welcomed a son into the world Monday! Little Jett Hamilton Roberts was born at 4:20 PM on April 20th weighing in at 7 lbs., 8 oz. (Source)

I admit I’ve been slacking…cause I totally missed Scott Storch‘s mug! It case you haven’t heard, the Miami based music producer was arrested and charged with grand theft auto after slackin on payments on a 2004 Bentley Continental GT <~~i.e. my dream car. Storch began leasing the vehicle in February 2006, with an expected return date of March 2008, but the leasing company claims that the vehicle was never returned and filed criminal charges after Storch failed to pay up.
At some point in all of this (and way before she hit the screen on Dancing with the Stars), Lil Kim and Storch were kickin it and he either loaned or gave the vehicle to Kimmie. A repo company later recovered the wheels from Kim’s New Jersey home after searching for the vehicle for months.
Scott, who’s out on bond and currently in rehab, is set to appear in Broward County Court on May 29. Lil Kim is expected to appear as a witness in the case. (Source 1 and 2)

The phenomenal celebrity photographer Derek Blanks just completed a shoot with Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas of TLC. Needless to say, the shots are AMAZING!
Chilli is one heffa that never ages! She always looks so beautiful. Derek probably didn’t have to do too much in this shoot besides point and click. Now, me? My photos will really put his skills to the test! I’m still saving my ad money for my shoot though. Hell…. .38 cents a day will have me there in no time. 😕
