The Real Housewives of Atlanta seems to be picking up steam as it aired it’s 6th episode of the 9th season last night (December 11, 2016).

Bravo synopsis:
Cynthia’s peaceful divorce takes a turn when Peter starts talking about their relationship to the press. While Kenya hopes to reconcile her differences with Matt, Porsha decides she is ready to buy her first home, despite being unsure of what her new relationship has in store.

Phaedra’s ‘Bomb Threat’ wasn’t a threat at all…
Shout out to fellow blogger FreddyO for his cameo on the housewives! Freddy was Phaedra’s media of choice as she returned to her law office after the bomb threat scare and she reveals that it wasn’t really a threat.
FYI, a headline about the Bomb Threat was shown on the show that came directly from StraightFromTheA.com…
Here’s a link to the post that Bravo screenshot and erroneously credited to StarMagazine:

But I digress.
Phaedra explains how her client Drama arrived to drop off some CD’s and she said he was racially profiled when he went to the wrong office spitting slang.

And the buzz around town is that Drama, the rapper who allegedly threatened to blow up Phaedra, was actually hired to spark the bomb drama.
If that’s true, the City of Atlanta should probably be compensated for all those man hours used to defuse the situation.
Cynthia’s having cold feet about divorcing Peter Thomas…
Cynthia feels ‘somekindaway’ after finding out that Peter did a bit of press to discuss their relationship.? As if she hasn’t been doing the same thing all summer long?
Whatever the case, Cynthia meets with her attorney who advises her that he can have her divorce from Peter filed and finalized withing 40 to 60 days.
[Sidebar: Is it me? Or does Cynthia and Phaedra’s divorce story lines kind of mimic? Kenya & Sheree’s house wars?? It seems Cynthia (like Kenya) can get hers completed quick fast and in a hurry, while Phaedra (like Sheree) is still building a house of lies… but I digiress.]
Bailey seems to be having mixed feelings about not being Peter’s wife any more. While she’s happy in the space that she’s in, she’s saddened by the fact that her marriage didn’t work out.
In one segment, Phaedra discusses her pending divorce with her mom and simultaneously Mama Joyce is on a mission to prove that Phaedra is as shady as her incarcerated husband.
[Sidebar; Mama Joyce has been granted a ‘petty pass’ this season and I am totally here for it!]
In previous episodes, fans have noted that Kandi’s ‘clique’ have been the one doing her dirty work, and it seems Mama Joyce confirmed it tonight when she decided to take on Phaedra.
“I don’t care if Phaedra gets a divorced or not but I know that Phaedra is out for my daughter, so I am out for her.
I wouldn’t piss in your mouth if your guts were on fire!” ~ Mama Joyce
Mama Joyce meets with RHOA resident attorney, Randy Kessler, to obtain divorce information because she feels that Phaedra is being shady about and it seems Mama Joyce may have been on to something…

Moving on…
Porsha has been around the ‘Block’ too…
Sheree feels group time is the perfect time to discuss Kandi’s baby daddy drama.
Kandi kind of brushes off the question and says that Block wants to ‘co-parent’ Riley, to which Porsha seems surprised.
That’s when Sheree’s instigating kicks into overdrive as she asks Porsha if Block ever said anything to her when they were ‘dating’
I guess Porsha was another one of Block’s many side chicks cause we’ve already established that he was married with 4 kids.

Porsha admits that she ‘dated’ Block but says they were never intimate.
“I could care less. It’s not my one night stand… ” ~ Phaedra Parks
Kandi then goes on to admit that Block has never been as involved as he should be.
I guess Kenya is now the face of domestic violence as she begs her rent-a-boo to stick around even though he’s been M.I.A. his entire birthday.
Last week, Matt fled to Cali to get away from Kenya and the cameras and now that he’s back she’s back to the same ol tricks.
This week, we’re forced to hear Kenya whine to Matt as he’s accused of kicking out the windows in her garage after becoming upset with her shenanigans.
Kenya even speaks to a producer (Joy) as she explains how Matt is really a good guy but he just gets upset sometimes.
This all seems a little too Love & Hip Hop-ish’ to me, but I guess that’s what Carlos King is aiming for this season.
In order to understand how fake and phony this entire relationship is, you simply have to follow the timeline of events.
If you reall, Matt put Kenya on blast back in July when he posted on IG that she ‘tricked’ him into coming over knowing that cameras were there (click HERE if you missed that).? I guess that’s what we witnessed last night.
Then surprisingly on October 28th Kenya appeared on ‘The Real’ stating that she was totally ‘in love’ and back together with her boo…

A few weeks later, Matt once again blasts Kenya online, calling her a liar in a 15 paragraph open letter he posted online (CLICK HERE if you missed that).
I honestly think both of these fruitcakes are mentally unstable and deserve each other, but this whole on again/off again thing is getting old. Then again, maybe it’s Kenya’s comeuppance for all of the dirt she’s done to others over the years.
“Manipulative and fundamentally deceptive” as Matt describes Kenya in the episode seems a very fitting description.
I have to admit, things are getting a bit more interesting. Mama Joyce and her ‘petty pass’ deserve the credit for that this week!
