The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired the 20th episode of the 6th season last night (March 30, 2014).
This week where we left off last week, as two of the ‘househusbands’ face-off in Mexico.
[FLASHBACK: RECAP: 5 Life Lessons Revealed on RHOA S6, Ep19 + Watch Full Video… ]
Nene Leake‘s husband, Gregg Leakes and Cynthia Bailey‘s husband, Peter Thomas are two of the most ‘experienced’ members of the tight knit group, and they each have their own thoughts about the way things should have been handled.
Gregg seemed to be carrying a bit of resentment over the way Peter spoke to Nene during Kenya’s fake charity event, but it seems Peter’s intentions weren’t malicious. Nene, on the other hand, feels that Peter was being ‘a b*tch’ about it and things took a turn for the worse when she voiced her opinion.
In addition to the battle of the geriatric gents, there’s some tension between Porsha Williams and Kandi Burruss when Porsha demands a lil too much for her first acting job. Phaedra Parks has a heart to heart with the owner of Willie Watkins funeral home about her future as a mortician and Kenya Moore decides to walk around with a fake baby.
Check out the 5 ‘life lessons’ revealed during season 6, episode 20 + watch the full video below…
LIFE LESSON #1 – Free your mind, and the rest will follow…
EnVogue sang it it best… ‘free your mind, and the rest will follow’! Kenya’s ‘couples’ trip to Mexico turns into a ‘b*tchfest’ when Peter and Gregg bump heads.
These two finely aged gentlemen shocked the world as they almost came to blows over an argument that should have happened WEEKS ago.
Just as they roll up their sleeves to go at it, Nene and Cynthia (finally) get involved but that didn’t do anything to squash the tension. In fact, Nene’s statement that Peter needed to ‘stop being a damn b*tch’ seemed to spark everyone’s attention that evening.
Nene gave a half-hearted apology for her statement and eventually it seemed as though the two couples would squash things… that is, until Gregg told Peter he’d used his ‘one pass… the next one got a ticket on it.’
That didn’t seem to sit too well with Thomas…
LIFE LESSON #2 – Sometimes you have to start at the bottom of the poster. In other words, everyone doesn’t deserve ‘top billing’.
Porsha Stewart Williams is starting a new life as a newly divorced woman without a skill set and RHOA castmate, Kandi Burruss has graciously decided to give her a part in her musical stage play.
But wait… Porsha is making the demands of an “A” list star! She wants top billing, gas for mileage to/from rehearsals, her own private dressing room and more!
Kandi is stunned to learn that Porsha is asking so much and during a meeting with the up & coming ‘star’ the Grammy award-winning songstress tells Porsha that she’s learned from doing business with friends in the past (i.e. Kim Zolciak).
Porsha says she’s hired Nene’s attorney to negotiate her contract and she’s going to leave the negotiations up to him, but being that this is the exact same attorney who represented Porsha in her divorce from Kordell Stewart, she may want to save her coins and negotiate this one on her own!!

As opening night of ‘A Mother’s Love,’ rapidly approaches it seems Porsha thinks she deserves more than established stars like Eddie LeVert and Shirley Merdock.
Kandi says she’s going to let the lawyers handle it, but she also let’s Porsha know that she’s asking too much in her demands and that she needs to think long and hard about this chance she’s been given.

And just in case… Kandi has an understudy ready, willing and able to take the part, should Porsha choose not to accept it.
LIFE LESSON #3 – Fake boyfriends, fake friends & fake babies can all be acceptable replacements for the real things if you are fake in ‘real life’…
Kenya Moore used to be a respected pageant queen, but nowadays she’s a ‘stand out’ member of the RHOA cast.

Moore, clearly hired for her stellar acting skills, has managed to convince fans of the ‘reality’ show that it’s ok to PRETEND to have relationships.
Having started on the highly rated show with a ‘boyfriend’ that she begged to be on the show and reportedly planned to trick into marriage (Never Forget: Walter Jackson’s V-103 Interview), Kenya is no stranger to ‘fake’ relationship scenarios.
Miss Ratchet USA also has a highly staged ‘friendship’ with Marlo Hampton, who is only engaging Kenya to get airtime on the show.

This week even Kenya’s ‘fake’ friend Marlo had to give her the side-eye when Kenya decides she wants to carry around a fake baby to prepare for motherhood.
[Sidebar: I thought they only did that sort of thing to prevent teen pregnancy… *shrug* But what do I know?]
Anywhoo… Kenya also enlists the help of Aunt Sisquo to shop for a fake baby suitable to her liking.
Fake boyfriends (Walter & the invisible ‘African Prince), Fake friends (Marlo Hampton) and now a fake baby? *sigh* I could probably also add Kenya’s fake butt to the list but I don’t even have the patience or desire to type about anymore of her foolishness.
Moving on…
LIFE LESSON #4 – Sometimes you have to revisit your past to appreciate your future…
Kandi girl… you’ve come a long way baby!!
It seems that Kandi felt a bit inspired working on her new play ‘A Mother’s Love’ and decided to visit her old stomping grounds at Tri-Cities High School in Atlanta.
In addition to Kandi and the other members of Xscape, Tri-Cities High School?s list of successful graduates include Outkast?s Antwan ?Big Boi? Patton and Andre 3000 Benjamin, D. Woods (formerly of Danity Kane), comedian Kenan Thompson (Saturday Night Live), choreographer Victor Jackson and more.

Kandi gets a huge surprise when she gets a hug from her favorite teacher. She’s also greeted by the high-school’s marching band.
But Kandi’s visit wasn’t just for show, she also offers two talented Tri-City students a part in her new play.
LIFE LESSON #5 – Disrespect is still disrespect even if it comes from the mouth of your friends…
The episode ended with Cynthia and Peter inviting Nene and Gregg to meet for lunch to discuss their fall out in Mexico.
Nene speaks up first and attempts to offer an apology for calling Peter a ‘Bitch’ but she fails miserably when she says she only meant that he was ‘acting like a bitch’ and she can’t apologize for that.
Cynthia clearly feels some kinda way about the way Nene is acting and in her confessional, she states that all the ‘b*tch talk’ is going too far.
It seems like the couple make amends, and the episode ends on a high note as level-headed Gregg apologizes to both Peter and Cynthia for his behavior and his wife’s behavior too.
One thing I know for sure… is that the friends still aren’t as ‘friendly’ as they used to be, but I’m hoping they all make amends in ‘real life’ as well.
