While you were watching the debates, Beyonc? was onstage performing during the Atlanta return of her Formation world tour last night.
Atlanta artists Young Thug, T.I., Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris, Jeezy, Gucci Mane?and more were all spotted backstage with DJ Khaled during the sold out show, and Queen B. won the hearts of even her most critical Atlanta fans when she added a segment to her show paying homage to Shawty Lo (aka Carlos Walker),?who passed away September 21 following a car accident.
Beyonc? paused for the cause during her set to honor Shawty Lo as she performed to his hit single, “Dey Know.”

I got some sad news early this morning. Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo was killed in a fiery crash last night on I-285 in south Fulton County, according to multiple reports.
While the Fulton Medical Examiner?s office has not identified the victim in the crash, the rapper?s manager and a brother identified the victim as Carlos ?Shawty Lo? Walker, known for the hit ?Dey Know.?

Atlanta-based rapper Shawty Lo is in the news this week after several sites have drawn comparisons between his ‘All My Baby Mamas’ reality show and OWN-TV’s recent announcement about another Atlanta man with similar issues getting a green light for his show.

I thought it would be interesting to speak one on one with Lo about the comparisons, especially in light of all of the protests and petitions HIS show received when it was picked up (and dropped) by Oxygen last year.

On his show being stereotypical and/or ‘glorifying’ baby mama…
Basically, I can get what they mean by ‘glorifying’ because the name of my show was ‘All My Baby Mamas’… I had nothing to do with that. Period.? That was something the network came up with and I was telling them, I? didn’t like that name.
I have 11 kids and 10 baby mamas.? 11+10 is 21 and I wanted by show to be called, ‘Shawty Lo: Being 21.’
But they did what they wanted to do and I think that’s one reason we got backlash…

Having multiple baby mamas seems to be the norm nowadays and drama that comes along with all those mixed relationships would make for perfect ‘real life’ reality television.
Rapper Shawty Lo tried to bring his situation to mainstream a few years ago with ‘All My Baby Mamas’ (click HERE to watch) but his story was banned from tv after thousands signed a petition stating it was too stereotypical.

That being said, a rapper with several baby mamas is an issue but apparently a well spoken father of 34 isn’t. (insert side-eye!)
Jay Williams from Iyanla: Fix My Life, the guy who had fathered 34 children from 17 different woman is now getting a shot at bringing his real life problems to the small screen.
Williams story (which you can watch in it’s entirety?HERE) sparked several ‘Fix My Life’ follow ups and many suggested that it was his intent all along to secure his own show.
