Several celebrities and social influencers attended a special VIP Screening for the upcoming ‘Hidden Figures’ film in Atlanta last night (November 16, 2016).

‘Hidden Figures’ is the incredible untold story of of three brilliant African-American women working at NASA (Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughn (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monae), who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit. The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big.

There was also a soundtrack listening party which was held at Means Street Studio in Atlanta hosted by DJ Drama, Don Cannon and DJ Sense.

Attendees included: Pharrell, Janelle Monae, Usher, Jidenna, Lisa Nicole Cloud (Married to Medicine), Keshia Knight Pulliam, Ludacris, Big Krit, DC Young Fly, Jasmine Guy, DaBrat, David Banner, Kap-G and many more.

Atlanta based rapper/civic leader Killer Mike jump started Black History Month in Atlanta alongside Usher, Jermaine Dupri & more, by encouraging the support of local, Black owned banks.

Mike hit the net this morning with the following plea:

We are gonna be opening accounts there and we encourage all of u too do the same! U can keep ya big bank account and use this one as a Savings or you can bring the whole operation. What ever u decide make sure at least 1 account is with a black bank turning that dollar in our community!

Young Jeezy played host to a private event in honor of his new new single, ‘GOD,’ in Atlanta last night (September 1, 2015).

The socially conscious rapper, who recently released an open letter where he discussed the issues of today, as well as the single, invited all of his friends, family & supporters to join in his announcement, which was held at Erosol, aka the Department store Bar.

The official Los Angeles premiere of the film ?DOPE? took place at Regal Cinemas L.A. Live in partnership with the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 8, 2015.

Cast members in attendance included Shameik Moore, Kiersey Clemons, Kimberly Elise, Quincy Brown, Chanel Iman, A$AP Rocky, Tyga, Tony Revolori, Blake Anderson, and Kap G. Also in attendance was director/writer Rick Famuyiwa, producers Forest Whitaker and Nina Yang Bongiovi, executive producer Pharrell Williams, co-executive producer Sean Combs and co-producer Mimi Valdes.

Additional attendees included Marlon Wayans, Michael B. Jordan, Keke Palmer, Gloria Govan, Dascha Polanco, Serayah McNeil, Damien Wayans, John Cho and many more.

Kandi Burruss of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and her hubby, Todd Tucker, attended a special sneak peek screening of ‘DOPE’ last night (May 6, 2015).

The ‘DOPE’ screening, held at Atlanta’s Atlantic Station movie theatre, was attended by several members of the cast, including Shameik Moore, and Kap-G.

T.I. & Kap G Discuss Racial Profiling + Angry ‘La Policia’ Lyrics’ w/CNN’s Don Lemon… [VIDEO]

Clifford ‘T.I.’ Harris and up & coming rapper Kap-G appeared on CNN last night to discuss issues of racial profiling and their ‘angry rap lyrics’ with host Don Lemon.

It was just about a week ago that Tip and David Banner jumped on the remix of Kap-G’s ‘La Policia’ and in light of all the recent news of police brutality nationwide, it seems their message of rage is being heard loud and clear.

When asked about the angry message in the song, T.I. responds:

I think there is resentment… an undeniable fear that (I believe) law enforcement has for young minorities and it is reflected in their actions.

And of course that leads to angry lyrics because our music, historically has been a reflection of our circumstances.

So if you don’t like our lyrics, you must then change the circumstances that inspire them.
