Jennifer Lopez performed alongside the legendary Smokey Robinson at the 61st Grammy Awards last night for a Motown Tribute and Black twitter was NOT impressed.
The Recording Academy received tons of backlash when it was first announced earlier this month that Lopez had secured the gig over black songstresses who deserved the spot and the subsequent performance did little to smooth things over with critics.

The event is held each year during Grammy’s week in L.A. and this year,?celebrity attendees and consumers flocked to Avalon Hollywood.
Attendees included?Ciara, Jordin Sparks, Zendaya, Chante Moore, Candice Patton, Elise Neal, Tasha Smith, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai, Tamera Mowry-Housley and more.

In honor of music’s biggest weekend, Broadcast Music, Inc (BMI) held it’s annual pre-Grammy ‘How I Wrote That Song’ panel discussion event in West Hollywood (February 7, 2015).
The list of illustrious panelists included GRAMMY-nominated hip-hop magnate Rick Ross, GRAMMY-nominated scribe Ester Dean, GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter & producer David Hodges, multiplatinum, GRAMMY-nominated producer Mannie Fresh and country music?s number-one-hit wordsmith Natalie Hemby.
Moderated by BMI Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations, Atlanta, Catherine Brewton, panelists shared their secrets to success in the process of writing, producing and performing hit songs. Each panelist also revealed the personal stories behind their greatest and most memorable hits.
