It was family fun day last night as Eddie Murphy’s new film “Imagine That” premiered in Atlanta. Lil Scrappy, Diamond and their two cuties as well as several other A-town celebs and their families were spotted at the theatre. Steve Stoute, Bob Whitfield, Tameka Foster Raymond, Stephon Marbury (Boston Celtics), Jason Richardson (Phoenix Suns) and more attended the screening.

I know you guys all heard the rumors of Usher filing divorce in an Atlanta court yesterday. Well apparently no papers have been filed….in Atlanta…..yet.? The separation rumors are true but who knows? Maybe they can work it out. *shrugs*

Flix/Video ~ Lil Duval’s Birthday Celebration at Luckie

Grand Hustle’s resident funnyman Lil Duval (aka Roland Powell) celebrated his birthday last night at Luckie Food Lounge. Not only did he don his favorite high-yella Super Fly polyester birthday suit, but the crazy “A”zz comic drank all the liquor in the building and partied til the wee hours of the morning.? I have absolutely no idea how old the birthday boy is now but according to his wikipedia page, he’s 32 this year.

Quick Flix ~ Pleasure P’s Miami Album Release Party

Pleasure P partied with a purpose last weekend during his album release party at?Karu & Y?in Miami. ?The crowd seemed to be a strange mixture of hollywood meets the music industry. ?Not only did his musical peers (i.e. Bow-Wow, Chris Brown, Lil Scrappy, Lloyd….) show up for the free liquor and groupies, but quite a few hollywood celebs from cancelled sitcoms joined in on the celebration.

Atlanta Housewives Promote Racial Unity + Derek J’s Shoe Battle

Real Housewives of Atlanta newbie Kandi Buress was spotted partying with fellow castmate Kim Zolciak about a week ago. Apparently the two “housewives” completed some sort of photoshoot that showcased their love for each other by displaying the unity of Black & White. *sheds tear* How beautiful… [insert side-eye here].? In case you haven’t noticed, Kim is the only Caucasian castmate on the Atlanta show while the other “Real Housewife of…” shows have an all White/European/Italian..i.e. non-Black cast.?? In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t really matter since the shows actually portray ALL of them in a crazy “A”zz negative light but I guess there had to be some sort of obvious display of racial unity…

It’s cute…but where are the other “housewives”

I did happen to spot Sheree?Whitfield in the crowd but it appears she just stopped by on her way to the mall.

And I must not forget the FABULESS-NESS that is…. Derek J! It wouldn’t be a real party without him and his outlandish outfits! Plus, when I read that he and Kim had a shoe battle…it was a done deal!

Moses Davis of Warner Music Group is hosting a monthly Thursday night event entitled “Thelonius Thursdays” and asked that I give you guys the heads up. The event begins at 9pm, Thursday June 11th at The Foreigh Exchange Cafe (68 Whitehall St Atlanta, GA 30310):

Thelonius Thursdays is an extension of the Spotlight Series that i started here at Warner Music Group. Thelonius is an outlet for artists of all genres ranging from Hip Hop to Jazz, Techno to Electronica to express themselves through Music performance, paintings, and other artistic expression.

Our featured performers this Month will be R&B artists Jaafar and Ben Stevens as well as talented MC A. Leon Craft. Music by DJ Passport. After June 11th, the events will be held every 2nd Thursday of every month and I would definitely love to see you there.

Come on out and enjoy a great atmosphere, great people and great art.
