Andr? 3000 may be one of the most sought after rappers in recent times, but don’t hold your your breath about an album anytime soon.
The legendary half of the iconic hip-hop group Outkast recently spoke about his decision to bow out of the music scene, stating in part that the older he gets the less inspired he is to rap.
The talented trio, which consists of Rico Wade, Sleepy Brown and Ray Murray, played host to almost 500 friends, family & supporters?at Atlanta’s B-Loft who all braved the weather to attend.
Attendees included?Dungeon Family’s Big Boi (Outkast), Big Gipp (Goodie Mob), Big Rube, Slimm Calhoun, Lil Will, C-Bone, Kawan ‘KP’ Prather, Grammy award winning producer DJ Toomp, Orlando McGhee (Manager?Organize Noize/Seventy 2 Music) and more.

It’s no secret that Outkast is very close to my heart and now the group that put Atlanta on the map will be the subject of a pop culture college course!
Regina Bradley, an Armstrong State University college professor, will be teaching a course this semester on Andr? 3000 and Big Boi, the most ‘spottieottiedopaliscious’ duo ever to rock a mic.
In case you didn’t know, Outkast mega hit song, which was released back in 2000, was inspired by Badu’s mother.
‘I’m sorry Ms. Jackson (oh), I am for real! Never meant to make your daughter cry. I apologize a trillion times.’
In a recent interview, Badu shared the history of the legendary track and also addresses how her mother felt about the song.
The final episode of FX’s hit show ‘Atlanta’ aired earlier this week to rave reviews.
During last week’s episode, Earn (Donald Glover) and Van (Zazie Beatz) ‘pretended’ to be husband and wife for a Juneteenth celebration (click HERE if you missed that).
This week, episode 10 focuses on Earn’s lost jacket and his quest to recover whatever he left in it’s pockets leads him through a series of setbacks that ends in somewhat of a win for our favorite character.
