Warner Bros. has finally released the first trailer for the highly anticipated adaptation of “The Color Purple,” based on the Alice Walker novel and subsequent musical and Oprah Winfrey joyfully shared a FIRST LOOK with the cast of the film.
Directed by Blitz Bazawule, the film is a remake of the 1985 adaptation by Steven Spielberg, which starred Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, and Margaret Avery.

Producer Carlos King is best known for his time at Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta but he’s produced and created other shows that he hopes will go head to head with his former employer.
Now at the helm of OWNtv’s Love & Marriage Huntsville, it seems that fans are begging for King’s release.
Journalist Gayle King faced severe criticism on social media when she questioned Kobe Bryant’s friend, Lisa Leslie, about his 2003 rape allegation during an interview just days after his tragic death in a helicopter crash.
Snoop Dogg was one of many, who hit the net to express his frustrations about the way King handled the interview and he also got his fair share of backlash for the way he publicly disrespected King by referring to her as a “dog-faced b*tch.”
King is now speaking out about the situation and stands by her interview, stating that everyone has the right to disagree, but the disrespect was totally unwarranted.

Rapper Snoop Dogg/Lion was in his feelings this past weekend after a clip of Gayle King interviewing Lisa Leslie went viral.
In case you missed it, King vigerously questioned Leslie about Kobe Bryant’s 2003 rape accusation, and several celebrities took to Instagram to chastise the journalist about the way she handled the interview.
Snoop initially threatened King on his social media timeline, but soon deleted the post and decided to take another route.

Black men matter. Period. That is the message that Oprah Winfrey conveyed yesterday when she surprised Morehouse College with another huge donation.
Winfrey donated $13 million to the historically black all-male college on Monday (October 8) further contributing to her scholarship program at the institution that was founded more than 150 years ago to educate African American men.
