Michael Vick may have ended the NFL season on a losing note in the playoffs, but he just made a winner out of Oprah Winfrey… at least he will next week.

Winfrey made a lil wager with with Piers Morgan that she’d beat Larry King’s CNN replacement in landing the Vick interview. She bet him “200-pounds” during Morgan’s first show (“200 pounds” stems from Morgan being a Brit) and Vick’s appearance next week makes Miss O the winner of the bet. [Sidebar: As if Oprah EVER loses… ]

Vick , who served 18 months in prison over a dogfighting operation, is scheduled to sit down for a one-on-one interview with Oprah on Feb. 24th to discuss, amongst other things, his prison time for dog-fighting crimes, and how he’s turned his life around.

Vick was reinstated to the NFL for the 2009 season and has been doing public-service work with organizations like PETA and the Humane Society, every since his release.

Mike’s story is a classic tale of redemption and I, for one, will be sitting front and center watching him on Oprah. I hope he doesn’t shed any tears…
