Lala Anthony struck a pose as she attended McDonald’s ‘Black & Positively Golden’ event during the 25th Essence Festival this past weekend.

Mickie Dee’s sponsored several activities to uplift and inspire up-and-coming female entrepreneurs. some of the culture’s brightest stars came out to support their ‘Black & Positively Golden’ movement, which celebrates Black excellence through empowerment, entrepreneurship and education.

Celebrity appearances included actress/businesswoman LaLa Anthony, entertainer Luke James, reality television stars Cynthia Bailey, Tamar Braxton and Trina Braxton, vocal powerhouses Jazmine Sullivan and Kierra Sheard, the always-suave actor/host Terrence J and more.

Newsflash! Jazmine Sullivan heard your concerns and has totally reconsidered her bizarre post about how she curved Thomas ‘TC’ Clay (click HERE if you missed that).

In a recent instagram post, Sullivan says she wasn’t being narcissistic at all?her post about the now deceased gospel singer. ?In fact, she says that she was merely trying to share her truth and shed light during a dismal time as she reflected on how she turned down TC Clay time after time after time and how he still wants her now, even after his death.

Atlanta Hosts 2015 Triumph Awards: Tichina Arnold, Tyrese, Jazmine Sullivan, T.I. & More… [PHOTOS]

Actress Tichina Arnold hosted the 2015 Triumph Awards, which took place in Atlanta last Saturday night (September 12, 2015).

The event, presented by Reverend Al Sharpton, National Action Network (NAN) and TV One, was filmed in at 200 Peachtree. Now in its 6th year, the event aimed to recognize the impact its honorees have made on our society.

This year’s honorees included Tyrese Gibson, Dr. Joseph E. Lowery, Wanda Sykes & Rosalind Hudnell.

Presenters included Afemo Omilami, Danielle Nicolet, Darrin Henson, Donnie Simpson, Nicole Beharie, Soledad O?Brien, Syleena Johnson, Richard Lawson, ?Patrik-Ian Polk and Terri J. Vaughn.

Musical performances included Tyrese, Tasha Cobbs, Estelle, Jazmine Sullivan, Ledisi, Chante Moore, Stokley Williams and the Youth Ensemble of Atlanta. Award winning hip-hop artist, T.I. delivered an original spoken word piece titled ?United We Stand?, urging youth to not lose focus on the meaning behind the Black Lives Matter movement.

Musical Director and house band for the night was The Robert Glasper Experiment.

The superstar crooner, who was in the news recently after filing his 3rd?restraining order against the same over zealous ‘superfan’ (click HERE if you missed that), he?hit the red carpet during the NY premiere screening of Netflix’s highly anticipated Nina Simone documentary, ?“What Happened, Miss Simone?,” which was held at?The Apollo Theater New York City.

Jazmine Sullivan Quit Music for the New Year… or Did She?

Word on the curb is that soulful songstress Jazmine Sullivan has pulled a Bobby Ray (aka B.o.B.) and walked away from the music business.

The 23-year-old J Records artist hit her twitter account earlier today with an announcement that she would be taking a break from the recording industry.

About an hour after Jazmine posted the messages they disappeared from her timeline. Apparently deleted by the artist (or someone from her label).

There has been no “official” statement from the label as of yet and I’m hoping that whatever she’s going through is temporary.

Sullivan has been nominated for nine Grammies since her debut in 2009, including this year’s Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for “Holding You Down (Goin’ In Circles).”

Jaz, you’re in my prayers. Do what makes you happy but know that you’ll be leaving behind a lot of disappointed fans.
