Just in time for flashback Friday, I spotted these pics of Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly over at Concrete Loop:
A CL Reader spotted former Kris Kross member Chris ?Mac Daddy? Kelly, 30, at Piedmont park in ATL earlier this week. The former 90s rap star, was just chilling and enjoying the atmosphere. He was still rocking his pants backwards like he did in the 90s. (UPDATED): According to various sources he has Alopecia Areata that?s why he is balding in certain areas.
As of 2007, the group supposedly reunited and are currently working on different projects with Jermaine Dupri. & word is he has his own label called C.co records. No word on what his former group member Chris ?Daddy Mac? Smith is doing.
In case you don’t remember Kris Kross peep a few flashback joints below:

Last night I attented a VIP preview event at the View. The event was jam packed with ATL’s musical elite as they all came out to celebrate the upcoming February 17th launch of “Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned” with Rockstar Games, Xbox 360 and the Konsole Kingz .? Antwan “Big Boi” Patton (or Twan as I affectionately call him), Slim of 112, Mr. Collipark, DJ Cannon, DJ Drama & No ID each sat down for an up close and personal preview of the new game and some even took home limited-edition Xbox 360 “The Lost and Damned” consoles.
Check out a few more pics from the event below as well as a GTA IV Preview:

Hey you guys…I want to introduce a new feature that starts tomorrow.? I’ve finally taken a cue from a few of?the StraightFromTheA veterans who suggested that I start compiling videos of celebs speaking on their favorite Atlanta memories.? I’ve gotten quite a few for you gus and have decided that since Friday’s are already slated as the day I post ‘flashback’ videos, I’d continue with that theme and include a new video each week of O.S.A.M.s or Old School Atlanta Memories.? A few I’ve already captured on film include my boo, Antwan “Big Boi” Patton, who reminisced about his days chillin at Charles Disco and Slim from 112 who cut?the video short when he found out my ties to one of his teachers. 😆 I can’t wait to share them with you!?
I’ve also recruited a fellow ATLien who’ll be writing under the moniker ‘Ms Auburn’ as in Auburn Ave.? Ms Auburn will do her O.S.A.M column each Friday as well.? Of course ALL?of you are invited to join in on our Old School fun.? I’ve even promised to reveal some of my tales of growing up in the SWATs (translation = Southwest Atlanta). If you’d like?to submit a picture, video clip?or simply want to share your fond memories of driving down Peachtree Street during Freaknik, chillin at Five Points or spending all your allowance at the Gold Mine game room in Greenbriar Mall, hit me up at [email protected] and I’ll be glad to share your memories with?the world.? And guess what? You don’t even have to worry about me putting a name to your afro pic unless you want me to… 😆
I can’t wait!!!
Monica did a tribute to Mary J. Blige during the 2009 BET Honors and completely ripped Mary’s ‘Not Gone Cry’! She had the entire audience in tears as she thanked Mary for being her inspiration.? In case you missed it, check out the performance below:
“Thank you for giving me the motiviation to love ME first and to let him learn to catch up with the woman I had become. I thank you and I love you. Every lecture and every prayer I heard you.”
When she got down and thanked Mary at the end of her performance, that was it for me. Mo had officially stole the show!
