Atlanta based Hooters restaurant chain is under fire this week after they suspended one of their scantily clad waitresses after she gained a few pounds!
The chain had just given Detroit based waitress Cassie Smith a glowing 2 year review, but her bosses and two women on a conference call from the company’s headquarters in Atlanta changed their tune when it came to her uniform evaluation.

Street Reaction to Justin Bieber’s BET Nomination [VIDEO]
I’m sure you’ve heard by now that teen sensation Justin Bieber has been nominated for a 2010 BET Award for “Best New Artist.”
Justin just so happens to be White and BET just happens to stand for “Black Entertainment Television.”
All of that is irrelevant I guess because it’s not unheard of for the network to honor non-Black artists (Justin Timberlake and Eminem have each been nominated before)… but the question remains about Justin’s cross-over appeal.
Reactions vary, but BET’s Stephen Hill feels that Justin is the total package, “He makes the type of music our audience likes.“‘

Award organizers compare Justin’s cross-over appeal to hip-hop’s integration into mainstream america: “Justin Bieber has crossed the color boundaries in the way hip-hop has the other way for a number of years.”
Ummm… I wouldn’t go that far, but he is a talented lil guy! Personally, I’m not even trippin over Justin’s nomination. Shoot. I’m still pissed that Monica was snubbed.

Janet Jackson is sporting a new doo and maybe even a new BOO!
The icon was recently spotted with a new short & sleek hairstyle and slimmed down figure. It’s been a year of many changes for Ms. Jackson, and not just in her physical appearance.
The 44 year old starlet is in London promoting her “Why Did I Get Married Too” but will soon start working on another high profile Tyler Perry flick, “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf?, in which she’ll star alongside such actresses as Mariah Carey and Whoopi Goldberg.
She’s also rumored to be dating again.
Since splitting from long-time boyfriend Jermaine Dupri after a seven-year relationship, Janet’s been linked to a thirty five year old businessman from Qatar, named Wissam Al Mana. The duo are rumored to have become a couple after they were first spotted at a fashion show in London back in February.

The rapper has been involved with business man Mikhail Prokhorov, developer Bruce Ratner and Bloomberg recently in the Atlantic Yards stadium development project, which will eventually produce an arena for the Nets basketball team.
