A third man has filed a lawsuit against Bishop Eddie Long accusing him of sexual coercion. The suit, similar to two filed on Tuesday (Read a PDF of one of the earlier lawsuits), accuses Long of using his power to force the plaintiff into a sexual relationship.

The suits allege that in exchange for sexual favors. In the third lawsuit filed by Jamal Parris, it’s noted that Long placed Parris and the two other men on the church?s payroll, bought them cars and other gifts, and took them on lavish trips.

Parris, now 23, was a teenager at the time he joined Long’s church. The suit, which claims Long encouraged Parris to call him “Daddy,” also names the church and a youth academy as defendants. Continue Reading…

Former Danity Kane member D. Woods and Atlanta?s own DJ Trauma celebrated the release of D. Woods’ mixtape Lady in the Street Tuesday night (September 21st) at VIA Lounge in Atlanta.

Special invited guests sipped complimentary martini?s throughout the night and had a chance to preview the newly released mixtape. The former Danity Kane member collaborated with DJ Trauma to host a 17-track mixtape that features sultry-creative tunes and entertaining skits. The mixtape also features Rick Ross, Mack Maine, Willie Taylor and Brian Andrews from Day 26, Kenny Burns, Mika Means, and Shanell from Young Money.

Lyfe Jennings Headed Back to Prison for 3 1/2 Years…

R&B singer Lyfe Jennings, born Chester Bamsu Jennings, has been convicted of criminal trespassing, discharging a weapon near a street, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and is headed back to the clink.

According to online reports, Lyfe is now heading to jail for three years. The artist was due to perform in Seattle on Tuesday, but the show was abruptly canceled before Jennings was sentenced to three and a half years in Atlanta earlier today (Wednesday, September 22).

The sentence stems from an altercation Jennings had with the mother of his child back in 2008, which spawned THIS bloody mugshot.

The singer kicked down the door of his baby mom Joy Pound’s house and later fired a gun outside. He then fled the scene in his red 2005 Corvette but was caught after a high-speed chase that ended when the singer smashed the vehicle.

Jennings was handed misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass, discharging a firearm near a public highway and refusal to take a DUI test, in addition to two felony counts of attempting to elude an officer and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Yung Joc as well as and?many other industry players, all came out to get a taste of the new R?my V.? Noticeably absent was Atlanta rapper T.I., who as you know was named R?my Martin’s “Global Creative Consultant” a few months back.

There’s no word on if Tip is keeping his consultant position in lieu of his recent legal issues, but Idris was heard telling party-goers that he was excited to be asked to celebrate the launch of V in Atlanta, and was seen sipping on some signature cocktails such as the “Victor.”

Vick’s Time To Shine! He’s Officially Philadelphia Eagles Starting Quarterback…

Atlanta will always love Mike Vick but he’s now been officially named the starting QB for the Philadelphia Eagles!

The Philadelphia Eagles have named Michael Vick the team’s starting quarterback, coach Andy Reid said Tuesday.

“When someone is playing at the level Michael Vick is playing, you have to give him an opportunity,” Reid said. “This isn’t about Kevin Kolb’s play. You’re talking about Michael Vick as one the best quarterbacks in the NFL right now.”

Kolb missed the last six quarters because of a concussion, and Vick played well in his absence. Kolb was cleared to practice and was expected to run the first-team offense on Wednesday.

“Kevin is fine. It’s not an injury-related issue,” Reid said. “It’s not about judging him. He’s going to be a championship-caliber quarterback.”

This decision to go with Vick had been in the works for two days.

Team sources told ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio that in the early morning hours on Monday, Reid, general manager Howie Roseman and the rest of the Eagles coaching staff and front office started going through the game film of Sunday’s win in Detroit and saw the severity of the problems on the Eagles offensive line. Shocking lawsuits have accused one of Atlanta’s top church leaders of sexual misconduct. Two separate lawsuits were filed late Tuesday (Sept. 21) against Bishop Eddie Long, of the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church located in Lithonia, Georgia.
