A few days ago, I did a post about Peter Thomas of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, who was recently served an eviction notice tacked to a vacant location he rents on Atlanta’s historic Auburn Avenue.

While I assumed the notice was for Bar One, both Thomas and someone from Bar One’s staff reached out to me to clarify that it was NOT Bar One that received the eviction notice… it was, however, the ‘Peter’s Brew’ building across the street.

[Apples… Oranges… still fruit right? *shrug*]

Now before y’all go in on Peter, just remember that we are all human and sh*t happens sometimes.

I mean… who HASN’T been late a time or two on their rent??

Anywhoo, that being said, I was told by the restauranteur that Bar One is fine and still has a planned re-opening timeframe of Fall 2015. ?Peter says he actually owns the Bar One building, but it’s been taking time to rehab it and get everything up to par.

The eviction notice that was posted was actually for the vacant Peter’s Brew coffee shop, which is across the street from Bar One’s planned location. ?

Peter partnered with a few people to launch the coffee line last year and if you recall, surprised his wife/business partner, Cynthia Bailey, during the season 7 finale’ with news that he?had rented a spot for Peter’s Brew (click HERE if you missed that).

Peter called me from Charlotte (where he’s working on his Sport’s One venture) and told me that the rents for Peter’s Brew have all been paid, albeit a bit late.

He was adamant that he ‘owes nobody nothing!’

It’s true that the eviction notice (which you can see HERE) was actually filed… but Thomas says the owner has already received (and cashed) the rental check.

Apparently because it was filed, they all have to play the process out in court but with receipts, etc. it should all be dismissed.

Whatever the case, Bar One is safe. ?Peter’s Brew?? I’m not so sure about.
