The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired the 7th episode of their 7th season last night (December 21, 2014).

This week’s episode is titled, ‘Nice to Metria’ as new ‘friend of the show,’ actress Demetria Mckinney, is finally introduced to the cast by Cynthia Bailey.? Demetria’s introduction seems to bring out the worse in Kenya Moore, as she discovers the newbie’s high-profile relationship status.

Kandi is still dealing with Mama Joyce’s manipulative antics and we watch Phaedra Parks deal with her marital issues in an uncomfortable confrontation with Apollo Nida in a crowded nightclub.

Mama Joyce’s ‘am-murism’ revelation…

Kandi just bought her mom a house, but instead of rejoicing about the new digs, Mama Joyce is pissed.

Apparently word got back to Mama Joyce that Kandi had been badmouthing her boyfriend, who basically ‘tore up’ the old home Kandi gave her in a botched home-improvement project.

It’s ironic that Mama Joyce would feel ‘somekindaaway’ about Kandi speaking ill of her man, when she roasts Todd all the time but I guess she prescribes to the ‘do as I say, not as I do’ type of mentality.

Mama Joyce hasn’t spoken to Kandi since hearing the news and when Kandi confronts her mom about the hostility between them she reveals that she’s been taking medication to avoid having an ‘am-murism.’

I’m sure Mama Joyce meant Aneurysm, which is a blood disorder that results in clotting and blockages that prevent blood flow. It can be caused by high blood pressure, diabetes, alcoholism, obesity, or just old age.

Whatever the case, timing is everything and Mama Joyce’s revelation came at a time when Kandi seemed finally prepared to confront her.

Hearing her mom is battling health issues was understandably troubling for Kandi, who backed off from the confrontation. *sigh*

Moving on.

Cynthia Bailey introduces Demetria McKinney

The newest member of the RHOA cast was finally introduced last night through Cynthia Bailey.

Demetria visits Cynthia at ‘The Bailey Agency’ to search for talent for her new music video. Bailey ‘knows’ Demetria from around town and has never worked with her before, but she’s delighted to assist the newbie.

During their meeting McKinney invites Bailey & her husband Peter Thomas to a listening session for her new song, and tells to bring their friends. She also reveals that she’s dating Roger Bobb, who also happens to be her manager.

When Cynthia mentions bringing Kenya to the party, Demetria seems to already have an instant dislike for the former beauty queen.

Demetria reveals that Kenya once took a group photo with Cynthia, Peter and Roger Bobb that hit the blogs and apparently rumor spread that Kenya and Roger were dating. Kenya never disputed the rumor, however Demetria and Roger Bobb were actually dating at the time.

On the flip side, when Cynthia tells Kenya about Demetria’s invitation and her relationship with Bobb, Kenya’s messy ‘A’zz instantly denounces the relationship.? Telling Cynthia that she’s known him for years and knows several people he’s dated over the years. Blah blah blah.

Nene Leakes Introduces HSN Clothing Line…

Nene Leakes is on the grind and she’s not actually in any scenes with her castmates this week.

Leakes is, however, out hawking her new clothing line which is featured on the Home Shopping Network (HSN).

As part of her marketing, Leakes makes a personal appearance on the show, to sell her new items but she’s struggling with the time.?? Her HSN segment is running from 12am-4am and Nene has to keep it all together and most importantly, stay awake!

With the help of several cans of red bull and hubby Gregg on the sidelines, Nene makes it through her segment and she also hits her mark in sales for her new line.

Kenya Gets Even Moore Messy (if that’s even possible)…

Kenya’s M.O. as the ‘relationship wrecker’ is clearly evident.? Now she seems to have her sights set on Roger Bobb, especially in light of Demetria McKinney’s recent relationship revelation.

Kenya goes to meet with Roger Bobb at his office in what seemed to be a business meeting, however her true intention is to find out Roger Bobb’s relationship status.

After asking the producer about ‘rumors’ she’s heard about ‘some lady’ named Demetria being upset over photos they’d taken, Kenya is advised by Roger Bobb that Demetria is indeed his lady.

None of that matters though, because now that Kenya knows he claims someone, it’s open season (in her twisted mind).

Kenya finally meets Demetria during the newbies launch party and tells her ‘I do not want your man, I have never wanted your man’ but on the flip side, when Kenya hears that Roger Bobb won’t be attending the affair, she states in her confessional:

Are you serious, I got all dolled up and Roger Bobb isn’t even here? What kinda okie-doke is that?

Throughout it all, visions of text-gate pop up in my head.? And it’s still NOT out of the question that Apollo lied about the ‘lie’ to hurt Phaedra.? But I digress.

Apollo Makes Unexpected Appearance…

Apollo shows up at Demetria’s party where he makes a public play for Phaedra’s attention.

When he walks in, Apollo hugs his wife, who greets him with a chilly expression.? Eventually, Apollo demands that Phaedra sit near him so that they can have a conversation and she appropriately advises him that they could have a conversation at home, instead of a busy nightclub.

Apollo seems to want to work things out and says in his confessional that Phaedra wouldn’t talk to him at home, so he chose to come out to talk.

I could literally be at home on the couch. She won’t ever come up to me and say ‘hey babe, i love you’… lay on me… hold me… no, never.

So what do you want me home for? to look at me?

Whatever the case, the club is certainly not the appropriate place to discuss their marriage and Phaedra plays the situation off like the true ‘southern belle’ she is.

The attorney/’housewife’ avoids causing a scene, while her fellow castmates all watch the uncomfortable situation unfold.

Bravo synopsis:

Back in Atlanta after a trip down the memory runway, Cynthia dives right back into work and is eager to begin collaborating with Demetria McKinney, an actress/singer who’s ready to take her music career to the next level. NeNe arrives in Tampa, FL ready to go live on the air for the debut of her clothing collection.

Meanwhile, Kenya meets with prominent producer Roger Bobb and discovers a surprising revelation. Kandi gets the cold shoulder from Mama Joyce while attending the family BBQ and Phaedra gets some advice on how to tell her boys about Apollo’s impending jail sentence.

As the ladies gather to support Demetria for the debut of her music video, the celebration becomes a bit uncomfortable when Apollo shows up to confront Phaedra face-to-face about the issues surrounding their marriage.
