The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired it’s 4th episode last night (November 24, 2013) and we’re bombarded with more of Porsha Stewart‘s ‘poor me’ syndrome.
[FLASHBACK: 6 Life Lessons Learned from RHOA Season 6, Episode #2 (RECAP + FULL VIDEO)]
Atlanta’s youngest ‘housewife’ is still reeling from the breakup of her marriage from Kordell Stewart and she’s still confusing the masses with her tales of how horrible her ‘picture perfect’ marriage actually was.
[FLASHBACK: Kordell Speaks! Addresses Divorce From Porsha & Gay Accusations (VIDEO)]
Here’s the thing, one minute Porsha is throwing tons of ‘gay’ shade and the next she’s crying and holding on to her wedding ring. I’m confused.
Then again, no I’m not. Porsha just can’t admit to the world that she entered into a marriage of ‘convenience.’
Kordell wanted a certain type of marriage and she wanted a ‘career’.
[Sidebar: ‘career’ meaning she wanted a sponsor and a gig on tv. Sadly, her gig lost her the ‘sponsorship’ & now she’s tryna figure out what to do next. But I digress.]
Check out the 6 life lessons revealed during The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 6, episode 4 + watch the full episode below…
Life Lesson #1 – Texting someone’s husband is a no-no. Period. Point Blank. End of Story.
Kenya Moore leads off episode 6 with the continuation of that whole Apollo texting story.? Moore meets with Kandi, who investigates the situation for her BFF, Phaedra.
Kenya voluntarily shows Kandi her text exchange to prove that it was all strictly platonic, but whatever the case, it seems a bit odd that Kenya would save texts from another woman’s husband.
Life Lesson #2 – A marriage of convenience isn’t convenient when it’s over.
Porsha hits her therapist’s office to help her deal with her divorce and she gets the side-eye almost immediately.
It seems that Porsha is finally coming to grips that her marriage to Kordell is over…. and yet she’s still rocking her wedding band.
Porsha tearfully explains to Dr. Blake that she thought her marriage was forever and says that while Kordell was a provider, he was also controlling… almost like a father figure.
As Porsha wonders aloud why Kordell would marry her and then walk away so abruptly, Dr. Blake asks her to consider why SHE married him.
Good question. But we already know the answer to that one.
Moving on…
Life Lesson #3 – Teenagers eventually grow up…
Cynthia is discovering that her daughter Noelle is growing up right before her eyes as the teen reveals a bit about her social life.
Noelle tells Bailey that she likes a boy at her school and even reveals that she’s had her first kiss!
Cynthia can’t take the thought of her daughter dating but it looks like she’s going to have to get used to it…. like right now!
?Life Lesson #4 -? Extended stay hotels are not meant to be luxurious…
Nene visits Kenya in her new ‘home’ which happens to be a ratchet hotel room.
Leakes describes Kenya’s new digs as a ‘2.5 star’ hotel [specifically because it has a white refrigerator (ewwww!) ].
The realization that one of her fellow ‘housewives’ is slumming it, sparks a bit of sympathy in the ‘rich b*tch’ and Nene offers to help Kenya find a new home.
Nene takes Kenya to look at an upscale high rise and notices through Kenya’s actions that she clearly doesn’t have the funds to upgrade her current situation.
We soon discover that that even though she claims she’s got a new ‘rich African boyfriend,’ Miss ‘Gone With The Wind Fabulous’ isn’t so fabulous after all…

Life Lesson #5 – There are times when Southern Belle’s want to cut a muthaf*kah with a steak knife…
It’s date night for Phaedra and Apollo and with a 3 year old and 5 month old at home, it’s the first time in a long time the pair has dined without distractions.

During dinner, Phaedra inquires one last time about Kenya’s texting, and Apollo seems annoyed that his date night is marred by talk of Kenya’s antics.
While Phaedra blatantly demands that he never text her friends,? Apollo doesn’t view his actions with Kenya as inappropriate (probably because Kenya and Phaedra were never “friends”) and tells Phaedra that while Kenya was ‘open’ to ‘f*ck’ he wasn’t down for it.
Apollo’s response made Phaedra want to stab him on camera…. and rightfully so. 😯
