A few threats couldn’t stop Mike Vick though.
The popular QB, who has been granted a second chance on the field, also got a 2nd chance at his book signing as a local Atlanta church offered it’s facilities to host the event.

During a brief press conference held preceding the unscheduled book signing at Victory for the World Church, Vick spoke of his desire to move forward despite the threats:
That?s a very small selective group of people who still have their own form of hatred.
But you know, I think the most important thing for me to do is to continue to stay positive and continue to do the right thing because that?s what?s going to make a difference? You gotta move forward. (source)
And in honor of the church’s generosity, Vick donated 100% of the proceeds from the event to Team Freedom Outreach, a non profit Christian-based group that helps young men housed in youth detention centers.
And speaking of 2nd chances, Vick caught up with redeemed rapper Clifford “T.I.” Harris during a party held at Atlanta’s Mansion Elan and thanked T.I. for his encouraging words.
