Meet 21 year old Kajul Harvey and her 20 year old abusive boyfriend Latoris Grovner.

This lovely pair of lovebirds were arrested in an Atlanta suburb after Harvey’s mother, 59 year old Alena Marble was found dead in the trunk of an abandoned car.

It’s being reported that Marble and her daughter, who shared a home, had a very volatile relationship but it was her daughter’s abusive boyfriend who is said to have killed the mother of two at her daughters request…

Last Saturday around noon, Someone noticed blood dripping from the trunk of a car parked in the lot of an apartment complex. They alerted maintenance, who called police.

Authorities arrived and found Marble’s body in a the trunk of the car, located just a few miles from her where she lived.

Grovner and Harvey, were both arrested Sunday and charged with murder, aggravated assault and tampering with evidence.

Investigators say Marble and her daughter’s boyfriend got into a physical altercation Friday night, which resulted in Grovner assaulting Marble with a metal pot and glass bottle inside her Mount Zion Road apartment.

Detectives say the couple then wrapped Marble?s bloody, battered body in a blanket and put her in the trunk her car. Evidence points to the fact that Marble was still alive at that point, but it was unclear if she died from her injuries or from being in the trunk of a car during extreme heat.

Police say Grovner confessed to beating Marble in her home.

A neighbor and close friend of the victim, said her friend feared her daughter and Grovner.

“[Marble and Harvey] fought a lot,” said Mary Smith, 48.

Other neighbors declined to be identified, but confirmed the mother and daughter, who shared a townhouse, had a combative relationship.

Grovner was also reportedly “very violent,” towards the victim’s daughter, and had even broke her arm during a July 2009 domestic incident.

He was sentenced to four years probation on a battery charge stemming from that incident and court documents further reveal Grovner was arrested in March 2010 for violating a temporary protective order to stay away from Harvey.

The pair reportedly reunited soon after his release from jail and (as was alleged during the pair’s first court hearing Monday morning). It was then that Harvey hatched a plan to kill her own mother and her abusive boyfriend carried it out.?

The mother reportedly sensed her life was in danger, and friends say she “wanted to go home to Texas.”

The physically slight 59-year-old moved to metro Atlanta from San Antonio, Texas in 2003 and is said to have suffered from heart trouble.

Saturday afternoon, neighbors say they overheard Harvey’s 4-year-old daughter ask, “Where’s my grandmother?”

“She’s a smart girl,” Smith said. “You could tell she knew something was wrong.”

Harvey’s children were also in the home Friday night when the violent incident occurred, but it’s unclear if they witnessed the fatal beating.
