When fans saw the images of Chris Brown and Usher all sweaty and hugged up in Jamaica, it seemed like a match made in heaven. Chris Brown seemed to have befriended an R&B powerhouse who finally had his back and he was on the fast track to a come-back after that messy Rihanna situation.
Producer Bryan Michael Cox even revealed that Chris would be joining Ursh on tour, but unfortunately B-Cox jumped the gun on that announcement because it wasn’t meant to be.
Usher hasn’t commented but anyone with sense could see that he decided his brand was a bit too pristine to associate with a convicted woman beater… and rightfully so. Why risk the fallout?
Chris recently spoke to Hot97’s Angie Martinez to “clear the air” about the dissipated tour plans and in standard C-Breezy fashion, managed to sh*t on Usher in the process.
Check out what Chris has to say about the Usher/Chris Brown tour that never was (or will be) and why he can count the number of his “industry friends” on one hand…
We had different views on the tour. We both have 2 different promoters. So whoever would get the tour would have to kind of work it out. I think they didn?t see eye to eye with that and I think all and all it wasn?t the right timing. I think we rushed into it. We were more in love with the idea more so than actual business side of it. We couldn?t get ready for it. Hopefully in the future, we can work something out.
When asked about Usher, Chris decided to throw a lil shade. Stating…
Yeah, it?s whatever. We?re cool. I?m cordial and that?s with everybody. I don?t have friends in this industry. I have my circle and I have my people I have relationships with whose been with me, that?s been with me through the bad times and the good times everybody else is just wall paper.
This kid… smh!
