Rumors have been circulating that Usher Raymond and his mother/manager Jonetta Patton are at odds once again. Word on the street is that Jonetta’s not happy about Usher’s current boo, Grace Miguel’s decision-making regarding his upcoming Raymond v. Raymond project. Sources say that Miguel is overstepping her boundaries by “meddling” in management affairs and meeting with industry execs regarding Usher. If true, there’s only Usher to blame. *sigh*
On a lighter note, you may recall the behind the scenes footage I posted from Usher’s photo shoot for his V.I.P. fragrance campaign a while back (CLICK HERE if you missed it) but the superstar singer also has a commercial on air right now. I’ve seen it several times but also caught it during the airing of the 2009 Soul Train Awards.? The short version omits all of the juicy dialogue between Ursh and his onscreen love but the extended version is almost like a mini 007 flick.

Lil Wayne and his ex-wife Antonia ‘Toya” Carter of the Tiny & Toya show threw a lavish birthday bash for their 11 year old daughter Reginae. Reginae’s pajama jammy jam brought out all her friends and family but the talk of the night was two baby mama’s in the same building. The mother of Wayne’s 1st born son, Sara (photo) also attended the bash along with son Dewayne Michael Carter III. One big happy family.
[Sidebar: In case you were wondering, Wayne now has a total of four kids. Toya’s daughter, Reginae, 1st son and namesake DeWayne Michael Carter III, 2nd son by Lauren London (name unconfirmed), and a newborn by Nivea Nash, who gave birth to healthy baby boy Neal Carter yesterday (Nov. 30th).]

Eleven time grand slam champion, Serena Williams, was handed a suspended 3-year ban, plus a record fine of $82,500 for her tantrum at the US Open earlier this year.? In a game where Williams was visibly upset cause she was loosing, officials called for a foot fault. Serena lost her cool and threatened the line judge with foul language. According to the line judge, and a few spectators who heard the tirade, Williams also threatened to kill the line judge if she could.
“If I could. I would take this f***ing ball and shove it down your f***ing throat!”
For that outburst Williams forfeited a point, giving her opponent, Kim Clijsters the victory.? She was also fined $10,000 onsite, which is the maximum amount that a player can be fined onsite by the US Tennis Association. Whoa! That makes a whopping total of $92,000, which probably didn’t make a dent in Serena’s bank account, but I’m sure she’ll choose her words more carefully next time.
Serena seems to be taking the huge fine graciously as she was spotted vacationing in Barbados over the Thanksgiving holiday. She even kept her cool as she suffered a swimsuit malfunction on the beach by merely laughing it off. Maybe it’s the quality time she’s spending with on again boo Common that’s got her in such a good mood.
