On the eve of releasing his latest single, Young Jeezy released an open-letter to his fans about social injustice, poverty, and the plight of being a Black man in America.?The thought provoking letter is accompanied by Jeezy’s TM88 and Southside-produced song titled ?God.?
As you know, 2015 marked the 10th anniversary of Jeezy’s Thug Motivation 101, so it’s definitely been a benchmark year for him.
In the letter, Jeezy (who signed the letter ‘Pastor Young’) preaches about several issues, including systemic racism, stating:
I would like to take this time to ADDRESS the Street Disciples and Congregation to express my concerns and frustrations on what?s going on in our communities all over the world today.
There?s a war going on, but you have to ask yourself, who is the enemy? We die to claim our streets and hoods when we don?t own as much as a mail box. That tells me one thing? If we all were on the same page and had the same cause, there is nothing in the world we can?t change or make happen.
