Super Producer Tyler Perry returns with the dramatic trailer for his upcoming drama For Colored Girls, which features an all-star cast including Janet Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg, Anika Noni Rose, Macy Gray, and a host of others.
The sneak peek includes a voiceover from Janet, and gives a brief look at the film adaptation of the 1975 stage play that focuses on seven women who discuss their battles with love, abandonment, and domestic violence.

Tyler Perry held an auction yesterday (September 13th) to sell off the contents of his new home. Perry purchased the new home in Johns Creek, located north of Atlanta, that was previously owned by a divorcing couple.
Dean Gardens, the iconic Johns Creek Estate which has been on the market for years, was finally sold to the multi-talented film and TV mogul a few months ago.
According to reports, Perry paid $7.6 million, which is quite the deal considering it was originally listed at $13.9 million. Apparently, he will be tearing down the entire 32,000- square foot mansion sitting on 58 acres of land and building his dream home from scratch. Features of the Dean Gardens Estate include two carriage houses, a wedding chapel, an Asian Tea Garden and an 18 -hole golf course. The mega-estate was originally built in 1992 by technology entrepreneur Larry Dean and his wife Lynda but they were separated before construction was complete.

…that he loves StraightFromTheA.com [blushing]… and that The Boondocks “PAUSE” episode didn’t faze him one bit!
I was a lil late catching up on my weekly dose of Boondocks this week but couldn’t help but hear the buzz about how Aaron McGruder ‘went in” on Tyler Perry.
Perry, who’s caught heat over the years from the likes of Spike Lee and Dr. Cornel West, now faces the hip-hop heads with McGruder’s take on his chitlin circuit gospel plays, which he describes as “…a homo-erotic christian theatre cult.”
McGruder creates a dancing “Ma Duke” character, who was definitely a parody of Madea…
In “Pause,” an episode written by McGruder, a thinly veiled version of Perry (Winston Jerome) is portrayed as a closeted, cross-dressing cult leader whose love of the Christian faith is a mask for his true sexuality. There’s definitely some classic quotes in the episode, like Riley’s take on “no-homo:”
“How I know you not homo unless you say ‘no homo’?”
And while the “Winston Jerome” character bears little physical resemblance to Perry, the reference is obvious…
