The show?s debut is scheduled to air on June 30th at 10 PM on BET (Black entertainment television) but a sneak peek is planned to air during the BET awards, which is scheduled to air June 28th.? Grand Hustle’s resident funnyman Lil Duval (aka Roland Powell) celebrated his birthday last night at Luckie Food Lounge. Not only did he don his favorite high-yella Super Fly polyester birthday suit, but the crazy “A”zz comic drank all the liquor in the building and partied til the wee hours of the morning.? I have absolutely no idea how old the birthday boy is now but according to his wikipedia page, he’s 32 this year.

Moses Davis of Warner Music Group is hosting a monthly Thursday night event entitled “Thelonius Thursdays” and asked that I give you guys the heads up. The event begins at 9pm, Thursday June 11th at The Foreigh Exchange Cafe (68 Whitehall St Atlanta, GA 30310):
Thelonius Thursdays is an extension of the Spotlight Series that i started here at Warner Music Group. Thelonius is an outlet for artists of all genres ranging from Hip Hop to Jazz, Techno to Electronica to express themselves through Music performance, paintings, and other artistic expression.
Our featured performers this Month will be R&B artists Jaafar and Ben Stevens as well as talented MC A. Leon Craft. Music by DJ Passport. After June 11th, the events will be held every 2nd Thursday of every month and I would definitely love to see you there.

Grand Hustle’s DJ MLK has compiled a list of previously unreleased tracks in a mixtape entitled “A Year And A Day.”? It leaked over the weekend and features Tip with cameos from Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and Kanye West, among others.
“Remember Me” feat. Mary J. Blige, which was featured in a previous “A” pod, has been playing on the airwaves for a few weeks now and is the first track (after the intro). It’s also the lead cut from the re-release of Tip’s latest album, which will be called Paper Trail: Case Closed, which is scheduled for release late this summer.
Chris Brown is also featured on the mixtape in a snippet of a song called “Leaving With Me,” which he reportedly recorded prior to his alleged altercation with Rihanna earlier this year:
“You’re leaving with me,” Brown sings. “But I know you got a man, though/ And you know I got a girl, so/ Let’s get up out the club/ Don’t none of that matter tonight/ You’re leaving with me/ Valet, grab the Benzo/ Girl, please let your friends know, don’t none of that matter tonight.”
Tip comes in on the record and insists to a lady he’s going to make her cut her boyfriend ? at least for the next few hours ? and get with him.

Some call it a publicity stunt…I call it a come back or a get back or a funny “A”zz prank!? Eminem got a face full of Sacha Baren Cohen’s “A”zz last night during the 2009 MTV Movie Awards and didn’t appear to be pleased AT ALL. He could be heard on the video cursing and instructing his D-12 cohorts to “get the muthaf*cker off me!”
The rapper has faced quite a bit of criticism from gay groups stating he bashed them in his lyrics, so some say it was an attempt to embarrass a homophobic rapper.? I dunno bout that. I say blame Nick Cannon simply for the fact that he had the most to gain from this stunt.? If you recall, Eminem faced the wrath or Mr. Mariah Carey Nick Cannon who wrote a scathing blog post to Mr. Marshall Mathers after discovering Em had penned a song that insulted his wife.? The blog post mysteriously disappeared after Nick claimed it crashed his website, but I’ve got a feeling Nick may have called in a favor from some of his MTV connections.? I know it’s far fetched…but stranger things have happened!
