Big Boi is preparing for the highly anticipated release of his solo project, Sir Lucious Leftfoot: Son of Chico Dusty, and has less than 2 weeks (and counting) til it’s drop date of July 6th.

I’ve been questioning the marketing tactics of Def Jam because I haven’t seen any gung-ho tactics like site takeovers and banners like they’ve done for some of their other artists *cough* The-Dream.? I seriously want my boo to succeed but I’m not liking how he’s being treated over there.

But I digress…

Ron Artest is still flying “SuperMan High” off of the Laker’s recent championship win. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I wanted Boston to win simply because I hate Kobe more so than I like the Celtics but Artest and his antics have given me a new outlook on the Lakers.

“I got my Wheaties box! Here my Wheaties! You don’t seem excited… I’m leaving!”

I kinda like em now… and because Artest is so coo-coo for cocoa puffs Wheaties, I’m dedicating this “A” pod to him, his psychiatrist and the song he plugged on court after their win.

Props to my boo Killer Mike aka Mike Bigga, who has a steller performance on T.I.’s “F*ck a Mixtape” CD!? Adamsville’s finest joins the Kang of Bankhead for what is fast becoming another A-Town favorite and everyone is taking notice.

On the song, “Ready Set Go” (produced by No ID), Tip provides impressive ad libs while Mike reminds us how he lyrically KILLS the game!

Ciara gets a lil help from labelmate Andre’ 3000 on her hot new remix for “Ride.”

Dr? wasn’t cleared by Jive to appear on his patnah Big Boi?s solo album, but he did get a permission slip to spit a few bars for Ciara. He also remixed a classic Beatles tune for an NBA Final’s commercial featuring Kobe.

Dre now lends his classic vocals to CiCi, who’s back on the saddle again with assistance from the reclusive OutKast member, along with producer/singer Bei Maejor, who reworks the beat.

Big Boi, Andre 3000 and Sleepy Brown combine their talents once again for “Lookin 4 Ya.”? The song was originally slated to appear on Big’s Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty, but word on the tweets is that JIVE is blocking 3 stacks’ involvement in the project.

Eeek! How DARE they attempt to block this masterpiece from reaching the masses???

Ciara was spotted on the red carpet of the Karate Kid Premiere in L.A. yesterday and all I could think was “Get it Girl!”? Coincidentally, that also happens to be the title of her recently leaked single!

CiCi pumps up the volume on ?Get It Girl,? a newly leaked track from her upcoming Basic Instinct project. The high-energy dance track is kinda reminiscent of her Goodies days.? Take a listen:
