On Saturday March 20, the first day of Spring in Atlanta was brought in with a mean crossover, sweet jump shot and hard hustle as over 400 local youth ages 12-18 participated in Converse Open Gym at Morehouse College.

In addition to competing in pick-up basketball games and receiving complimentary Converse gear and haircuts from Master Barber Coty Morgan, the youth were also treated to a visit from Atlanta Hawks Forward Maurice Evans and Ryan Cameron of V-103 FM.

I teamed up with Converse here at Open Gym in Atlanta to give kids an opportunity to play basketball in a safe environment. I’m honored to be a Converse athlete and excited about the great things planned for Atlanta that will create positive environments for kids to stay active and have fun. ~ Maurice Evans
