Rihanna revealed a while back that the costumes for the video shoot would have Jamaican vibe. “A lot of my videos are really dark and edgy and tough. ‘Rude Boy’ is more playing along the lines from my roots,” she said. “We used a lot of color, but also the costumes were very Jamaican dance-hall queen type.”

The Hope for Haiti Now benefit concert aired last night with performances from Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, Wyclef Jean and more.
A wide variety of broadcast, cable, radio, and internet outlets, including CNN and MSNBC, preempted their regularly scheduled prime-time programming to air the benefit concert/telethon to raise funds for Haiti earthquake relief. But one network in particular is receiving criticism for giving little coverage to the devastating earthquake in Haiti on its top-rated programs.
Fox News did NOT preempt its programming to air the benefit concert, instead broadcasting regular editions of The O’Reilly Factor and Hannity.? Shocked?

Rihanna joined Wyclef Jean & Maxwell on today’s Oprah show to raise money for Haiti earthquake relief. She performed Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song” and all proceeds from the sales will go to aid Haiti during this trying time.
Rihanna’s remake of “Redemption Song” is available through iTunes and will be a donation to the efforts in Haiti with proceeds going to the charity Hope for Haiti Now. Thousands of people will benefit from the download of the song (and your ears will thank you too.)
Maxwell “Fistful of Tears” is also available for purchase through the iTunes store This single will also have the proceeds will benefit Hope for Haiti Now.
