Marlo Hampton, the notorious recurring background character on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, made a brief appearance on the popular reality show last week as she chatted with her new ‘friend’ Kenya Moore.

You may recall that I was first to spill the tea a few months back about Marlo & Nene Leakes’ ‘real life’ fall out (click HERE if you missed that) after Hampton jumped ship & switched to Team Kenya.

Leakes referred to Hampton as an ‘opportunist’ who befriends anyone who can help her get camera time, and while Marlo fully embraces the term, she feels that NeNe is the one who could use a piece of humble pie.

Nene Leakes Apologizes For ‘Short Speech’ + Kenya Moore’s Charitable ‘Lie’ Revealed…

Nene Leakes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been getting a bad rap lately and she’s taking accountability for her actions.

Leakes recently took to her BravoTV blawg to address the ‘short speech’ that she gave during Kenya Moore’s charity ball, which aired during episode 15 of RHOA.

In her statement, Nene admits that she was wrong, but says that Kenya is still the one that needs to be watched.

In addition to Nene’s apology, Saving Our Daughters, an esteemed Atlanta charity organization formed to provide positive activism and support to teen girls nationwide, provided their own official statement blasting Kenya Moore and her attempts to use their name to further her RHOA career.

The organization claims they didn’t even know the event was being held for Nene until after it aired on television AND they also state that if Kenya raised ‘thousands’ as she’s purported, they never received a dime of it!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired the 15th episode of its explosive 6th season last night (February 16, 2013).

This week it almost seemed like the ladies were ready to move on from all that ‘pillow talk’ drama saga but you already know there was more drama waiting around the corner.

Porsha ~~Stewart~~?Williams auditions for Kandi Burruss’ musical. Mama Joyce returns with a vengeful voice mail to Kandi’s BFF Karmen, Marlo Hampton returns to join #TeamKenya and last but not least?Kenya Moore plans a grand masquerade ball for charity, but instead of choosing her own charity, she decides honor of Nene Leakes and her favorite charity ‘Saving Our Daughters’.

But wait… while Moore’s gesture may have seemed noble on the outside, her intentions were questionable after she didn’t even bother contacting the guest of honor (Nene) with more than an emailed invitation.

Nene Leakes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta?shared the photo above as she showed off her prize for being Gregg’s Valentine’s Day pick (February 14, 2014).

Nene is fresh off the heels of a RHOA scandal after receiving a ton of heat from fans for her ‘Pillow Talk’ event.

Many still blame Nene but she said it it was Kenya Moore who was the ‘spark’ that lit the flame… turning her couples ‘Pillow Talk’ event into a night of violence and fighting.

That being said, there’s also a rumor going around that Nene quit the top rated reality show, if you believe that… I’ve got some land in Africa that I’m selling real cheap (Kenya).

Nene Leakes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta shared the photo above online as she attended The ‘Go Red’ or Women fashion show in New York City last Thursday evening (February 6, 2014).

Nene rocked ‘all red everything’ as she ripped the runway for The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection and appears to be flying above all of the drama that’s been featured lately on the popular reality show.

During her NYC runway debut, the ‘Queen B’ of RHOA looked dazzling in her bright red Dolce & Gabbana gown and proudly strutted her stuff for a worthy cause. The show featured stars like?Anika Noni Rose,?Gina Torres,?Rutina Wesley,?Joan Jett,?Colbie Caillat,?Kat Graham,?Joan Van Ark?and more.

For the record, Nene’s BFF Cynthia Bailey and her hubby Peter Thomas were also in the audience cheering on the blonde bombshell.
