The artist formerly known as Mya is still alive and well and she’s still got that puppy love.
Back in 2008, Mya took on the role as spokesperson for the North Shore Animal League (click HERE if you missed that) and apparently she still takes her job seriously.
Mya was spotted iat the Algonquin Hotel in New York yesterday (August 11, 2011) showing mad love to a few homeless pups.
The self-professed animal lover attended a special ribbon cutting ceremony for North Shore Animal League?s new Mobile Rescue & Adoption Unit and took time time for a photo op, posing with every puppie she could find.

Where has Mya been hiding anyway?? I haven’t seen or heard much of her since she was running around Atlanta recording songs with Shawty Lo and hanging out with Gucci Mane…

Usher & Mya were spotted on the red carpet at the 2010 Grammy Awards sharing camera time and looking picture perfect! I know you all were rooting for Chilli but it’s just a date! ?They both need a lil buzz and I’m sure this manufactured promo will work well for both of em.
