“She’s having me acknowledge that, if this had happened, in a different country, this wouldn’t have happened,” Tyler shares. “‘I wouldn’t think that this would happen to me in the States.'”

Lisa ?Left-Eye? Lopes, member of the popular 90’s R&B group TLC, would have celebrated her 40th birthday this year.
It seems like just yesterday TLC’s Ooooooohhh… On the TLC Tip arrived on the scene, selling six million copies worldwide.
1994 saw the release of CrazySexyCool, which sold over fifteen million copies 
worldwide and cemented TLC as one of the biggest female groups of all time.
Lopes, along with group members Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, enjoyed huge success in the early 90’s and had many hit singles such as Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg, Hat 2 da Back, No Scrubs, Waterfalls, and What About Your Friends.
The album’s marketing was a huge success… riding high off of Lopes’ dramatic (and often violent) love affair with NBA footballer Andre Rison.
Lisa was dubbed the “Crazy” in “Crazy, Sexy, Cool” after she avoided jail time for torching Rison’s home. Continue Reading…
Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes posthumous album, Eye Legacy is dropping January 27th. In the meantime, check out a sample from the project, which is composed of remixes and previously-unreleased songs. If some of you recognize the vocals from the new single, Block Party, that?s because it?s a remix of her first and only solo single (from Supernova). While most of Lopes? raps are retained, Surefire and Marcus DL provide a brand new, up-tempo beat, with Clyde McKnight singing the hook. Lil Mama adds a modern day feel to an old song by blending her vocals with Lisa’s. Check it out below and let me know what you think.
