Ice Cube Hosts ‘Barbershop: The Next Cut’ VIP Screening in Atlanta… (PHOTOS)
Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer played host to a special VIP screening of their new film, ‘BARBERSHOP: THE NEXT CUT’ in Atlanta last night (Thursday, March 17, 2016).
The event was held at Regal Atlantic Station and WVEE-FM?s Wanda Smith kicked off the screening, which included a special presentation from Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.
Reed presented both Ice and Cedric the notable Phoenix Award for contributing to the growing Atlanta film community, as the movie was filmed in the city.
Attendees included: Silento (Hip Hop Artist ?Watch Me Whip, Nae Nae?), Sheree Whitfield (RHOA), Demetria McKinney, Jamal ‘Gravy’ Woolard, Derek J (Celebrity Hairstylist, RHOA, Fashion Queens), Momma Dee (LHHATL), Gocha Hawkins (LA Hair), Beautti J (Cutting It in the ATL), Kawan ?KP? Prather (Grammy Award Winning Producer of Kendrick’ Lamar’s “Alright”), Edwin Jackson (Indianopolis Colts), Lavon Hooks (Pittsburgh Steelers), Chris Douglas (Buffalo Bills) and many more.

#StraightOutta Memes Go Viral Prior to ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Release… [PHOTOS]
The ‘Straight Outta Compton,’ movie has yet to be released, but it’s already created quite a buzz online and off.

The movie, which details the life & times of the legendary rap group NWA, hits theatres nationwide on August 14th but in the meantime,a ‘Straight Outta’ craze was sparked with beatbydre’s Straight Outta Somewhere website, which allowed everyone to rep their city.The generator allows users to insert their hometown into the logo. 2Chainz, Lil Kim, LeBron James, Jennifer Lopez and other celebrities all have shared their own versions online but today, ?Straight Outta Compton? memes have rose to over 145,000 on Instagram, with even more filling up Twitter and Facebook.
Hilariously though, many aren?t just generating their own meme, but are using the meme generator to poke fun at a few pop culture classics.

The event, held at Regal Atlantic Station, also included a Q&A session with cast members stars O?Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell (who star as Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E), as well as Ice Cube (producer), F. Gary Gray (Director) and Will Packer (Executive Producer)
The screening was well attended by many of Atlanta’s who’s who including music’s top celebrities and influencers including: Mayor Kasim Reed, Usher Raymond, Ludacris, B.o.B., 2Chainz, David Banner, DaBrat, Lil Scrappy, Polow Da Don & More.
A special Q&A session was moderated by Packer after the film and the ‘Straight Outta Compton’ cast members shared tales of working on the amazing NWA biopic.

Comedian Chris Tucker and Ice Cube recently got together to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the classic hood flick, Friday.
