Usher is being accused of stealing from cartoon star Homer Simpson.

The morning deejays at Y101.7-FM in Jackson, Mississippi claim that they’ve discovered the true origin of Usher’s hit song “OMG” and it comes from a very unexpected place.

According to the deejays, the song closely resembles a Christmas carol that Homer Simpson came up with in an episode of The Simpsons.

In a 2003 episode of the show, Homer sings “Christmas in December, wow, wow, wow. Give me tons of presents, now, now, now!” Meanwhile Usher’s “OMG” goes like this: “Honey got a booty like pow, pow, pow. Honey got some boobies like wow, oh, wow.”

Is it simply a cute coincidence or were Usher and his team (Will.i.am wrote and produced it) inspired by Homer’s songwriting skills?
