Killer Mike and T.I. were the guests of honor today at Frederick Douglass High School in Atlanta.
The two superstars gave back to the community by organizing support from many of their celebrity friends to help students in the Douglas High band to travel to New Orleans to perform in the annual Mardi Gras parade.
The goal was to raise about $13,000 and after Mike, an alumni of the west Atlanta school, jumped things off with his donation, several others followed suit including Lil Jon, Tyrese, The Roots, Sza and more.

Santa Burruss, and her ‘Kandi Cares’ Foundation elves, personally delivered over 300 gifts to six families in the Atlanta area.
Families were surprised as my team of Kandi Cares Elves delivered over 300 gifts of Clothing, Shoes, Xbox’s, New Beds, Tablets, Laptops and of course lots of Toys to families that would have otherwise not had a Christmas this year. There’s no better feeling than being able to give back and to see the smiles on the kid’s faces I will cherish this day forever.

Atlanta’s own Antwan ‘Big Boi’ Patton and football legend Michael Vick put a smile on several faces yesterday for the holiday season.
Vick in partnership with Nike and Big Boi’s Big Kidz Foundation, held his annual holiday shoe giveaway at the Nike retailer store in Atlanta’s Lenox Square Mall yesterday (December 20, 2017).
Recipients of this year’s good deed included several children from the East Dekalb Boy’s & Girl’s club and they all left the store in great spirits after being blessed with new shoes and gear courtesy of the generous superstars.
