The Collective Renaissance Guild (CRG), (pictured above with newly elected Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed) held its 2nd Annual Winter Ball at the Persian Galleries last Saturday (December 5, 2009). Special guests included members of Atlanta’s business, entertainment and political communities, along with several celebrities.
This year, CRG honored actress Nicole Ari Parker, Rainforest Films? Will Packer and Rob Hardy for their artistic innovation and their contribution to the growth of Atlanta?s film industry.

Steph Jones is not only one of THE most cutest polka dotted men I’ve encountered thus far, he’s also the one of the most talented. Step was in Atlanta last weekend recording a few holiday songs and decided to set up a listening session for his “Gravity” mixtape.? Invited media and industry tastemakers all traveled to Patchwerk Studios to experience “Gravity” which Step refers to as a LIFETAPE instead of a mixtape. He may be onto something cause the first single, “You’re So Delicious” is a refreshing, feel good song that might possibly breathe some life back into this blah music industry. Monica, along with Rocko and their 2 beautiful sons Lil Rocko and Romelo celebrated with an afternoon of bowling and fun at Red Carpet Lanes Sunday evening. The event was filmed live for Monica’s new BET Reality Show “Still Standing” and the celebration also brought out quite a few celebs with their kiddies! Jermaine Dupri, Celebrity Photographer Derick Blanks, Rock City, and many more of Atlanta?s music community that has been down with Monica since day one, all came through to celebrate family and share in Monica’s success.
