The funeral was held for Chris ‘Mac Daddy’ Kelly of Kris Kross fame in Atlanta, Georgia yesterday (May 9, 2013).
Kelly’s family, friends and fans all payed their respects to the fallen hip-hop legend and many of Atlanta’s music industry insiders attended the funeral services, which was held at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church.
Jermaine Dupri, Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith, Michael Mauldin, Da Brat and more all paid homage to their friend and several wore their pants backwards in recognition of the trend Kris Kross made famous.

As reported earlier, Kelly died on May 1 at the age of 34 after being found unresponsive by his mother in his Southwest Atlanta home.

It was ‘All ATLANTA Everythang” this weekend as Jermaine Dupri brought out the big dawgs for his So So Def 20th Anniversary weekend.

After the So So Def concert ended with the likes of Lil Jon, Usher Raymond, Ludacris, Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, Monica and Mariah Carey, it was a all VIP celebration at Atlanta’s Compound night club.
The only person missing was T.I…. but then again maybe the shade Tip threw during ASCAP’s Living Legends Dinner put a spark up under JD’s “A”zz to get this whole anniversary thing poppin (just a thought).

Jermaine Dupri‘s SoSo Def label celebrated 20 years of musical influence last weekend which kicked off with a private dinner to honor many of his artists and continued with a Private “VIP Castle Party” held on Friday, February 22, 2013.
The event was well attended with many of Atlanta’s who’s who, who all came out on a rainy Friday night to celebrate alongside Jermaine and his crew in anticipation of the 20th Anniversary Concert, which was to be held the following day.
Along with Jermaine, Anthony Hamilton & Bryan-Michael Cox (pictured above), other SoSo Def artists, influencers and supporters were also in attendance.
T-Pain, Bow-Wow, DaBrat, Dondria, Michael Mauldin, Dem Franchize Boyz, DJ Nabs, Shanti Das, DJ Toomp, DJ Mars,? Carl Thomas, Raheem DeVaughn, Jennifer Drake (ASCAP), Designer Mychael Knight, Sharlinda Parker (Big Rich Atlanta), Shawty Lo and many many more all came through to show SoSo Def support.
