FX’s comedic masterpiece ‘Atlanta’ aired it’s 9th episode last night (October 25, 2016).

This week, we spend a bit of time with Earn (Donald Glover) and Van (Zadie Beetz) as they?begrudgingly attending a Juneteenth party hosted by Monique (her former boss) hoping to get an express pass into Atlanta’s Black elite social circles.

If you recall, Van was fired from her job on Episode 6 after she admitted to smoking weed (click?HERE?if you missed that). ?Now, she’s been invited?by Monique to a Juneteenth celebration hoping to rub elbows with a few who’s who in Atlanta, thinking that it would a great to make connections.

For those of you who don’t know ‘Juneteenth’ parties?common down south as many celebrate the day slaves were emancipated?from the Confederacy on June 19th 1865. ?Van feels there will be many key figures in attendance and brings Earn along as her ‘husband’ so that she can fit in with the elite crowd.

It’s been a few weeks since we’ve seen the main characters of FX’s hit comedy, ‘Atlanta’ but in episode 8, they’re back and in ‘The Club’!

Last week, we were treated to PaperBoi’s appearance on B.A.N. (the fictitious ‘Black America Network’) – CLICK HERE if you missed that – and this week Atlanta’s booming club scene is hilariously broken down.

FX synopsis:

NFL player Jeff Miles will be at Primal on the same night as Paper Boi.

From Z-listers getting club appearance fees to shady promoters dodging payment, the struggle is definitely real down here in the field.
