Our president, Barack Obama and his wife Michelle are such a beautiful couple! Michelle Obama’s gold dress that she wore to the first official state dinner in honor of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife Mrs. Gursharan Kaur has created quite a buzz online and off.

In celebration of the India-themed event, the First Lady wore a custom-made design by Indian-American designer Naeem Khan. Khan’s red carpet roster includes gowns by A-listers such as Beyonce, Carrie Underwood and Katherine Heigl.

Atlanta Mayoral candidate Kasim Reed has been officially endorsed by some of Atlanta’s music industry elite. Several notable A-town celebs joined Reed in a recent campaign rally to raise funds and to create voter? awareness about the upcoming run-off. Fellow ATLien Fonzworth Bently served as host for the evening, and gave us his take on why Kasim should be the next mayor of Atlanta. Others who took part in the festivities included, Antwan “Big Boi” Patton, Monica, Ryan Glover, Ne-Yo,?Devyne Stephens and more.

Steph Jones is not only one of THE most cutest polka dotted men I’ve encountered thus far, he’s also the one of the most talented. Step was in Atlanta last weekend recording a few holiday songs and decided to set up a listening session for his “Gravity” mixtape.? Invited media and industry tastemakers all traveled to Patchwerk Studios to experience “Gravity” which Step refers to as a LIFETAPE instead of a mixtape. He may be onto something cause the first single, “You’re So Delicious” is a refreshing, feel good song that might possibly breathe some life back into this blah music industry. Facebook is the Devil…

In this age of social networking and financial hardships, no one wants to lose their job over some bullshhh… but that’s exactly what’s been happening lately. First it was the Atlanta train operator who was suspended from his job after being caught texting by a passenger who posted pics on twitter, then there was those 3 dumb “A”zz teachers who got? caught up in a FaceBook love triangle. Oh…and let’s not forget lil miss ‘I had a beer on vacation and got fired after I posted pics on my FaceBook page“. Granted, each case is completely different, but the underlying cause is the same…. SOCIAL NETWORKING! This time it’s FaceBook to blame again. A Canadian woman on long-term sick leave says she lost her disability benefits because her insurance agent located photos of her on Facebook in which she appeared to be having too much fun.

Nathalie Blanchard has been on leave from her job at IBM in Bromont, Quebec, for the last year undergoing treatment for depression and was receiving monthly sick-leave benefits from her companies disability insurance. Blanchard’s payments ceased unexpectedly and when the employee called her insurance company to inquire about her funds, she was told she was no longer considered disabled because of photos on her Facebook page. Chris Brown didn’t have anything else to do last night, so he hit up his twitter account to touch base with a few of his fans.? Just as Jay-Z took to the stage during the 2009 American Music Awards to accept his award for Favorite Hip Hop Male Artist, Chris twittered “Cornball” during the speech. Coincidence? I think not. Especially since the “MechanicalDummy” deleted the tweet and then spent the rest of the night tryna explain it!
