An Augusta, Georgia woman has been charged with murder after prosecutors said she struck her boyfriend in the head with a stiletto heel, killing him.

That had to be one helluva pump!

46 year old Thelma Carter posed for the gruesome mugshot above after she was arrested for murdering her live-in boyfriend Robert Higdon.

Carter and Higdon, 58, were involved in a physical altercation Sunday evening (July 31, 2011). The two reportedly fought in the trailer they shared at Augusta Mobile Home Estates.

Sometime during the altercation, Carter struck Higdon in the head with the spike heel of a shoe and left the scene.

Carter notified authorities of Higdon’s death the following morning when she returned home. Investigators in the case are unsure how many times Higdon was actually struck with the stiletto prior to his death.

An autopsy has been scheduled at the Augusta Crime Lab to determine the exact cause of death. (source)
